About the setting: The last time the ultimate beings known as The Brothers became aware of each other, they collided in a conflict that nearly destroyed their two multiverses. Then, for a short time, they became one. When they did so, they combined not only themselves, but the many inhabitants of those multiverses creating what would from then on be referred to as the "Amalgam" universe, and gave rise to such heroes as Dark Claw, Iron Lantern, and Amazon. In the end however this merging was ultimately undone through the work of two cosmic beings; The Specter and the Living Tribunal, and a man called Access who was linked not only two the Brothers but to the entirety of the Multiverse.

Years passed for the inhabitants of the Multiverses and they eventually forgot about the time they were pitted against each other and the day when the sky bled. However to the Brothers barely a few hours went by. They could never return to the time when they did not know of the others existence. So they began a dialogue that would change everything again. The two entities spoke with each other and gained new insight on themselves and their creations. Armed with the lessons they had learned from their last attempt they became one world again. And their worlds followed suit.

About the Game: The MDC Universe is home to characters from Marvel, DC, Amalgam, and various other Comic Book related Universes. Comic Verse, Animation Verse, and Movie Verse are all accepted! The choice is yours! If you've got a more obscure comic book character like Glory or The Plutonian, they're welcome here! Or you can mix things up and tell a new story with the Amalgam system! Take part in community wide events, get the latest news from the Daily Globe, and contact teammates or challenge rivals in the Multimedia community!

I realized today, looking at a picture of Deanna Troi, I really love huge '80s hair. I really do. I know it's seen as the epitome of tackiness now, but I think it looks very flattering. I guess blame Fran Fine and Rogue.

Glad it's not in style, though, because it'd be an incredibly pain in the ass to maintain, and current styles are way more manageable.

So, any unfashionable fashions you like? Not stuff like pretty '60s summer dresses and flapper dresses and '70s bellbottoms--those things are retro.

Recs for an embarrassing fluffy "kink"

I dunno if this counts as a kink, but I have a sudden massive craving for a fic where a female character with low self-esteem who is canonically sort of plain/chubby/older/scarred/otherwise not really hot is about to have sex but is shy/embarrassed about her body, and the guy she's having sex with genuinely thinks she's gorgeous and tells her so and really sweetly and in great detail works over her whole body with his tongue and fingers.

This sounds incredibly sappy and maybe kinda sexist, but...I'm a girl and I like fantasizing about the idea of this happening to me, and femslash isn't hot to me. So..um...recs?

Blue Cheese

Okay, so a few weeks ago, I bought a bottle of blue cheese, to go with the wings I was going to make myself for the first time... the wings went great. The blue chese was horrible. And it was the same brand my favorite pizza and wing restaurant uses!

So obviously, they make the stuff that goes into the restaurants different then the stuff that is in the salad dressing bottle. The Former is a lot more mild. I'm wondering if anybody in the know can tell me what the actual difference is

(and yes, I'm going to go ask that restaurant, but can't do that for a while so figured I'd tap into the misc. knowledge bank here)

I'm not sure exactly what's going on - I assume from the mention of bottles that you're talking about blue cheese dressing and not actual blue cheese. Assuming that's the case, I'd be willing to bet that the restaurant probably gets the same blue cheese dressing but cuts it with something (probably additional mayonnaise or something). But I couldn't say for sure.

If I had to say, it would be because op's mods seem to be just straight up hurting yourself?

Not judging your motives here, but that's my initial impression. It could look more like self mutilation then modification.
