Been away, don't know how recently we've had one of these, but given that there was a holiday that maybe kept people from the comm, I'm down for another.

I really hate professors who refuse to call on the people with their hands raised and insist on sticking with the person who clearly doesn't know the answer. I know this makes me sound like a know it all. But I don't mind cold calling per say. I just hate it when the professor keeps asking the person who doesn't know when there are clearly people that know.

Tbh it makes sense to me. Maybe the person who's being asked will remember. Or maybe the professor will lead them through the process of figuring the answer out, thus helping them to understand it better.

The professors who never notice raised hands, though? Are the worst. (And yes, I'm a know-it-all...)

Yeah, well, instructors really hate the fact that 3/4 of the class is sitting in silence not participating.

I assure you sempai has noticed you. I also assure you that know-it-alls who think they're experts on the subject when really they've just managed to finish the day's reading are somehow even more annoying than the silent stonefaces.

i hate this too, but that's because i am the type to never raise my hands and i would rather not get called on. class participation can suck my clit. if im paying thousands of dollars i want to be able to sit and absorb (or not, whatever) the information in peace.

Now he can fail horribly at answering something simple in front of everyone so they all know he's not going to pass the class.

I've come to realise my colleagues and I are all fucked in the head.

Our first reaction on finding out someone from our office getting shot at on our patch after making sure they were okay was 'lets go hit up that area'.

My bf's brother is getting married this summer. I'm being very quiet about how secretly excited I am, because I LOVE weddings so much and I hardly ever get to go to any, and the one I went to last summer was kind of boring because it was so very Baptist and I didn't really know anyone but the bride. But this is going to be so fun! I'm planning to make myself a cute new dress to wear and everything.

I don't use the sheets, just sleep on top of them. So I only wash them once they start pulling away from the bed since they normally stay in place. So they get washed oh maybe every month or two months or so.

I'm hanging out in the bathroom at work reading and commenting right now because it's the only time I get a break. Also, today, I've got a killer migraine so I'm hanging out longer while I decide if I want to puke. I kind of hate everything right now. Work sucks, personal life sucks, health sucks. Everything sucks and I want to go home and watch my shows.

I wish there was some over the counter, cheap, safe medication you could take for when you are really, really horny and nothing you do makes it go away. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes it keeps me up at night and I hate it.

I'm helping my mother vote in our state's primary elections this year even though she has Alzheimer's. She wants to vote since she has always done so. And oddly I don't feel bad about having her vote despite the disease. At least it is by absentee ballot so she doesn't have to go into the voting booth.

I'm 99% sure everyone in my family thinks my roommate is my girlfriend, and I wish they would just say it so I could tell them she isn't. Because I don't know how I could bring it up first without sounding defensive and homophobic.

I just want to tell them the truth because I know they wouldn't care if she was my girlfriend, and I don't want them thinking I'm hiding it from them because I'm afraid they would be upset.

I don't work out and eat right for health reasons. I work out and eat right because I'm vain and I want to remain skinny. And because I want to look hot for my high school reunion.

I walk around my apartment naked. It's very liberating.

I seriously think a lot of my problems would go away if a lot of people would just shut up. They wouldn't even have to shut up for very long, just twenty or thirty minutes.

I think ERs should start charging extra from the people who show up drunk or on drugs, and just throw out any patients that get violent, be it against the staff or other patients. So you broke your leg while falling down the stairs in the bar? Tough shit, but it doesn't give you the right to hit the nurses.

I broke a pretty important thing at work yesterday (without realising) and it really fucked up a presentation for the client in question.

The secret is I almost didn't own up to it because I was scared of being yelled at. Which is stupid because my boss/coworkers just don't behave that way. Hell when I did admit to the problem they were firm about it being a screwup but nice about ensuring I won't do it again.

I don't know why I was so terrified they were going to scream at me, and that kinda freaks me out.

I'm in a book club, but I hate it. I'm not making friends, the book isn't that good, people are flakey and self-interested and boring, and I'm constantly getting interrupted and made fun of for having opinions (thought out ones, I do actually read the book). Everyone else in the club is like "we're friends now! Look at how well we've gotten to know each other!" and it's a joke. Nobody in there knows me. Nobody's even tried.

I don't know if it's too late for anyone to still be around to read this, but I need to get it off my chest.

I love playing video games, I love playing games in general, but I've realized as of late that when I lose at a game, I can't lose graciously. And it's not like I flip a table or cuss my opponent out or stomp off and pout...I just get really, really depressed.

I've been playing Hearthstone lately, and I can do really well some nights, and absolutely fucking terrible others. Sometimes I can handle the loss. But sometimes, I just quit the game and fight back tears because all I can hear in my head is "I don't deserve to win anyway. I don't deserve nice things. I don't deserve to do well. I'm always destined to lose."

I'm not a bad person. I try to make sure everyone around me is as happy as I can conceivably make them. I have a husband who I love and I know he loves me too. And we play games together sometimes...and guess what happens when I lose. And I'm terrible at hiding my emotions with him, so he feels bad for winning...and then pulls punches in the next game which makes me feel worse. "I don't deserve to be treated like everyone else. Everyone else has to have a handicap so I can even remotely succeed. I'll never be good enough without someone taking pity."

I would talk to my husband about this, but I have tried in the past and he tells me to just quit playing. The thing is, I love the games and I love playing them, I'm just tired of feeling like the person on the other end is laughing their heads off at what a shitty player I am every time I lose.

I don't know what to do. Right now, though, I'm going to go to bed and cry myself to sleep quietly so my husband doesn't feel bad.

It really starting to tick me off with how someone is often classified as a homophobic heterosexual if they don't agree with with someone else's perception of sexuality. That and the fact that bisexuals are classified as sluts by the majority of gay people that I've met. I've met plenty of wonderful people since I met my first ever girlfriend but I'm getting sick and fucking tired of the stink eye I receive from a number of her friends when I mention that I'm bi and not a lesbian. I've had less sexual partners in my lifetime than the majority of them have had in the past year but somehow [i]I'm[/i] still considered a jezebel? Sorry if I offended anyone I just needed to get this off my chest.
