Okay the suggestions got a bit bloated yesterday! Fair enough! Depending on how voting goes today I might narrow it down to the top three and then have those be voted on later. Not sure yet. At any rate, here's our poll!

No stream tommorow or next week, the robin williams stream will take place on the 30th. We are going Hook and Death To Smoochy as they are my absolute favorites (Hook is actually my favorite movie from my childhood period and no that has nothing to do with Homestuck) so they aren't on here.

Anybody can vote obviously but I hope folks who vote are at least thinking about coming!

Also, I don't think tehre will be a porn parody this night. There is a porn called "Snatch Addams" but it's not actually a parody just a doctor fetish thing by the looks of it so I won't insult the man with a cleverly named porn that doesn't have a robin william analouge.

I will be taking care of the little kitten we rescued. One more flea bath should do it. She looks much better! And on Sunday, I have to go to a family dinner. I hope it isn't too terrible.

Shows in their first season

i generally don't start watching a tv show until it gets big and multiple people have raved to me about it. But this summer, I was bored, and Fox had this new show, Gang Related, that seemed to hit all my favorite tropes. It was a little shaky starting off, and reviews weren't that good. But I stuck through it, and by midseason, it reallly found its groove and it was fantastic. The finale last night was amazing, and I wish for nothing more than for it to get a second season. But ratings were pretty bad, and I doubt it's going to happen. And I almost wish I hadn't bothered watching and getting so emotionally invested in these characters.

So what's your opinion on new shows, do you watch them? Or do you wait until they're already kind of established so you know you're not going to get cruelly cut off in the middle of a storyline? And are there any new fall shows you're looking forward to?

This in no way makes excessive force right, but for fuck's sake, tumblr is doing mental gymnastics to try and make this some sort of conspiracy. It couldn't be more clear that this is the victim and his friend/"witness" stealing and assaulting a store clerk. Why does he have to be an angel for his death to matter? He committed a felony, denying this isn't helping. It was still excessive force either way.

Yes, I know the Internet is not the best place for it, but I'm leaving for the weekend and going to a doctor would be a major pain in the ass.


So,I burnt my finger. I got some molten plastic on it (don't ask, I was trying to fix something - and I did, it's just that now *I* need fixing).

From the looks of it it's at the very least a 2nd, possible 3rd degree - but it's very small. It went white almost instantly, the area around it is redder than usual. I held it under cold water for a long time, then scraped off the now hard plastic. I'm not really in very much pain, but I'm wondering if there's anything more I should do to tend to it?

So F!S, I was wondering if a moderate amount of you would be interested in a once, possibly twice, a month trip down F!S memory lane. By this I really mean, would people be interested in a once, or twice, a month breakdown of wank that occurred in a particular month for us to all laugh and/or reminisce about?

Background: The wank that occurs on F!S has almost always put a smile on my face when I read it, and I've also been interested in the "Where are they now/Do you remember this person/anon" threads. Recently I started browsing the archives to look for anything wanky and have been favoriting days that have some good wank to them (and making folders for months and years because you'd be surprised how much entertaining wank occurs on a monthly basis here) and thought "Perhaps F!S would be interested in this stuff as well."

In my mind, I would post using a dummy account (I'm not a named user on here as an FYI) a day or two beforehand of months I have favorited so we can vote on which we would like to go through, and the day of I'd post with explanations on where and what the wank is, sorta like a museum tour or something like that. I realize that I may be like that Spreadsheet!anon (who I have yet to see in the archives), but dammit!, I like you all to much to let this idea go to waste without seeing if it was a good idea in the first place.

Black racism keeping blacks down, too

The problem is that racial division and race hatred runs so deep on both sides that there are whites non-blacks who assume all blacks are criminals; and there are blacks who see any apprehension of a black criminal as racial oppression, and then take a wildly aggressive stance against the police and then act like they didn't provoke a response.

You know that nonsense about how, "a black man can't be racist," because racism is a system of oppression? These blacks who won't even show up to vote, end up with an 80% white government of a 67% black town, who reject law, who lie about everything to everyone and justify it because Whitey (and ultimately society itself) is "the enemy," who run around with that persecution complex and hatred of society like some dumb teenage boy all their lives--they are part of the system of racial oppression. They are the black racists, even by the structural, societal definition.

They make themselves unable to be helped when they won't even help themselves, and they won't even take the chances they have to help themselves.

Your police force wouldn't be full of Kukluxers if you would ACTUALLY SHOW UP TO VOTE! Do you have any idea how hard it is to gerrymander away an entire 67% majority?

I have been facepalming a little bit at the sense of raging entitlement coming out of Ferguson, even as I sympathize with them. You really think no white folk have ever had to comply with a curfew?

And it's not most black folk. Most black folk actually give a shit about being decent people. Yeah, show up and protest because it's sad to see the police shoot a kid, but teach your children to be law-abiding. The problem is this dumbass fringe of stupid, don't-even-vote, self-entitled, lawless, never-grew-up, conspiracy-theory-lovin', anarchist, overgrown fools who seem bound and determined to live up to the KKK's "bestial black" stereotype.

Or the ones who want to just flip white racism and don't recognize they are perpetuating the very race theory that has kept them down.
