Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. He has only ever been hot to me as Sherlock (though I do think he is a great actor in most of his movies). It is the hair plus the attitude I think. I like asshole good guys, I blame Vegeta.

Hugh Dancy in Hannibal, mostly because I haven't seen him in any other role where he has an American accent. When he uses his natural one, it's just so... off to me. I never knew who he was before Hannibal, so maybe that's the problem?

Tom Hardy in Mad Max. I never really thought he was unattractive in his previous roles, but he's never really done anything for me before. I thought he was hot as fuck in Mad Max though. I don't know if I just like him when he's dirty and scruffy looking, but I would crawl through broken glass to tap that

I spent all weekend helping my mom buy a new couch. Our criteria was that we can sit with our backs against the couch back and still have our feet flat on the floor. We're not that short but almost all the sofas we tried were way too deep.

And a lot of couches were so deep that even tall people wouldn't have their feet on the floor. Do people really find comfort in that? Is this the new trend? Are we just weird to want to sit comfortably?

What cons are fellow FSers going to during the remainder of the year? I know con season pretty much wraps up by September/October-ish, but I thought I'd ask.

I was going to go to Wizard World Chicago in August, but I've switched gears to Alamo City Comic Con in September instead. It's pricier overall, but it works out better time-wise, and there's more guests there that I'm interested in seeing compared to WWC (i.e. Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Matthew 'General Grievous' Wood, Ray Park, and Ron Perlman). They've hinted they're going to be adding more Marvel/MCU guests, though I suspect it'll be the usual suspects from SHIELD and Agent Carter who do the con circuit stuff.

I'm almost tempted to go to this local con centered around British pop culture/fandom later this summer, but I don't think they'd have anything Thunderbirds related, ahaha. Lots of Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, Tolkien, and such, though.

Perscirption Eyeglasses

I just got a new pair of glasses from Zenni's, and they are already getting very smudged and I can hardly see out of them. I've tried looking online and there's such a disagreement on how you should clean them. Some people say water and dish soap, but other's say that strips the coating.

I've been using microfiber cleansing cloths and an a microfiber cloth, and it seems to make it worse? I'm wondering if I shouldn't get spray cleaner. But it seems they are pushing the cleansing clothes so much, I don't see it anymore.

It could just be the glasses. I only got they automatic scratch coating, and standard anti-reflective coating. But these have been the worst pair I've ever gotten.


Do you wear glasses? Do you buy your glasses in store or online? How do you clean your glasses? Any tips or help?
