We had to give speeches for class recently, and one of my classmates did his on "why video games are bad". He started a tirade about how they were all mindlessly violent, encouraged people to do bad things, required no real thought, and had no interesting plotlines. The last line of his speech was "so if you want to end up rotting your brain and becoming a worthless person, go out and buy a video game".

Aw, man, I know. I think it's been pretty much confirmed that neither of them are going back to NewS. At least, the K8 fandom (English-speaking, in one of the LJ communities) claims that there's been some kind of official statement that Uchi's not going back to either band and is doing solo activity only.

FAVORITE BAND EVER. -foams at mouth- Haha, no, seriously, but I can understand relating their songs to different characters/ships/etc. I think a LOT of their songs fit with Asch from Tales of the Abyss, and I will forever associate "Dance With the Devil" with my own personal background story of what happened to Neku's parents in The World Ends With You.

To make a long comment short, Breaking Benjamin is just amazing both on CD and in concert, and I love them and that love will never eve die. <3 [/fangirl]

as someone who's played the game since it came out, i can tell you that by and large there IS no team to let down. sometimes you'll wind up on a server where everyone is awesome, but most of the time it's a bunch of screaming clan kids obsessed with their KDR and their ranking despite never ever leaving the server their clan owns. i have fun with the game, and despite a multitude of stories involving immature brats, some with admin powers, i generally have a good time, but 90% of the time, "team" fortress is a misnomer. i can't tell you how many times i've wound up deep in enemy territory with a shotgun in one hand and my dick in the other, watching my ammo count steadily bleed away as i fend off the slavering hordes of blue team bastards vaulting over their teammates' corpses to get to me, waiting for the backup that never comes because red team is holding hands and giggling in our base.
