Can anyone recommend a free image host where you can have an account (and thus be able to delete/edit pics at will)?

I've just had it up to here with Photobucket! I try to upload a picture that's fucking 30kb and they now immediately resize it. Before it'd usually get resized after a month or so, or -- if you were lucky -- not at all.

hey F!S, guess who's learning how to cook? hint: it's me
i moved out 3 or 4 months ago, and it's become apparent that living off of microwave dinners is a one way ticket to feeling like crap all the time. so i'm trying to expand my diet a little bit. tonight i'm making steak tacos (read: steak in a tortilla).

any of you guys have any beginner recipes you'd like to share? bonus points if it involves chicken or eggs, because for some reason i have... just a shitload of both this week.

i can share my primitive take on steak tacos, hashbrowns (from scratch), or something called "salsa chicken" (crockpot/slow cooker required) if anyone's interested

There was a comment on a thread in yesterday's post about how a fandom has a bunch of fans who write fanfic of a character acting like an abusive asshole, but treat him as though he's in the right. I've only ever seen this in bad guy/good guy (or actually, more bad guy/good girl) fics, but is it, like, a trope to write a good guy doing abusive things but portraying it as a good thing?

Um, so, I made a comment on the general thread a couple of weeks ago about being anxious about my ADHD evaluation. Thank you to those who replied and were nice btw!

I do have ADHD but she also diagnosed that I have aspergers. Well, that wasn't what I expected like at all. It makes more sense now for a lot of things and I'm getting help for everything, but wow I don't know how to feel about this at all.

Anyone else ever get a diagnosis that you weren't expecting? If so, how did you deal with it?

I like high BPM with catchy beats but they have to be lyrically engaging or I zone too far out. Songs that tell stories or just have quirky lyrics are great. I really like rockin' guitar solos.

The new US fall TV season is almost upon us and with all the fall previews out, I was wondering what everyone is excited to watch.

I’m really looking forward to:

Last Resort: US nuclear sub crew kind of goes rogue after refusing to fire on Pakistan. Conspiracies and paranoia abound. Andre Braugher as the captain.

Nashville: The country music industry – veteran (Connie Britton) vs. ingénue (Hayden Panettiere).

I will also definitely be checking out:

Vegas: Cowboy sheriff (Dennis Quaid) vs. mobster (Michael Chiklis) set in the 1960s.

Revolution: The night the lights went out, um, everywhere. Then 15 years later – guns have been outlawed, there are rebels and militias and the possibility of turning everything back on again.

Elementary: Gee, I’m not sure what this one’s about. Seriously, though, Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Dr. Watson (Lucy Liu) in New York helping to solve crimes.

I’ve already seen the first couple of episodes of Go On (Matthew Perry as a recently widowed sports talk radio guy who is doing group therapy). It’s funny and sweet and sad and sometimes it tries a little too hard, but I like it so far. I’m not sure about The New Normal (A gay couple (a campy TV producer and a practical gynecologist) that wants to have a baby, their sweet surrogate with her precocious daughter and her bigoted grandmother, plus the sassy assistant of the producer). It kind of feels like everything’s turned up to eleven.

I'm a bit shaken right now. I took a taxi home and the entire way the taxi driver talked about how I should work in (suburb known for sex workers) and that I'd make great money there instead of my current job.
Then he kept offering to take away my taxi fee (about $40) if I gave him a BJ. I ended up getting him to drop me off a couple of blocks up from my house because I didn't want him to know where it is. I walked around the block too.

But I'm still shaking. It was really unnerving being locked in the car with a guy asking for a BJ. I was terrified. I told my friends and they just laughed like this wasn't too unusual (I wouldn't really know, I don't get taxis often). But I'm so creeped out.

What if he had followed me? I've got knee problems, I can't run. Also I had my bags. What if I get him again next time I need a taxi?
