For me, it's the phrase "id fic." I don't know if it's fandom specific or not, but I've asked and never received an answer for what it actually is.

So...any ideas? Any confusing terms? Let's get those things defined. :)

I'm usually going to cafe once every week to meet up with friends and I tend to get there way ahead of the others, so got plenty of time to notice other customers. There's one I wish wasn't there as he is absolutely creeptastic. He hasn't bothered me directly more than once, but I'm not really his type ( thank goodness!). Very young blondes on the other hand... The pattern as follows: he walks up to girls of around 17-18, introduces himself by full name, asks where they live and if he might have their phone number. So far no one has, that I know of. Then comes "May I be rocked on your foot?" At which point they all just say no and ignore him.
Last time I overheard him talking to a slightly older woman, blonde, and he asked if he may nail her sometime. I didn't catch her answer because I was too busy going WTF?!

The thing is, though, that he does have some form of mental development issues and I can understand that people would be iffy about calling him out on his behaviour because of that. Question is, should that really be a get-out-of-jail-card for sexual harassment?

So there's been a lot of drama between two of my best friends lately. We used to all hang out together, but lately they've been fighting incessantly -- and that's when they're willing to talk to each other at all. It hurts to see them at each other's throats, and I feel like if I don't pick a side now, I'll drive myself crazy trying to stay close to both of them. There's nothing I can do about any of it and I just want to curl up in a corner somewhere until they magically become best friends again. But I'm not asking for advice on dealing with it. My question is, would it be tacky to say that I feel like a little kid whose parents are in the middle of a divorce? My parents don't have any marital issues (that I know of), so I'm not sure if it's okay for me to make the comparison.

I'm not usually a kinkmeme person. I'll venture on there to read recced fics, but I generally find them scary places. The Hobbit kink meme has become my obsession, though. I feel like a bad fan. I wasn't this way with LOTR. I didn't feel the need to read kinky fics. I shouldn't be doing this to Tolkein's characters.

And yet. The kink is awesome. I'm tracking nearly every thread. There are already awesome fills, and the place is new enough not to have descended into the scary yet. And I'm not sure I would mind if it had.

I podfic my own fic so I can make sure the dialogue sounds okay. I even try to do the characters voices. It takes awhile, but it's really rewarding for me.

I like having early chapters of WIPs so I can listen to them on a walk before I sit down to write more. I think it's easier than rereading.
