Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I loved this movie, and am mildly ashamed by that. Because it's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

(Yes, I was redbox anon from last night, just too lazy to log back in). I would love to chat with people about this, but alas, must go back to work (and return this movie before I have to pay for it). Also, kind of sucks that apparently no special features exist, even on the blu-ray.

There was an anon who posted two or three days in a row talking about how they were going to commit suicide. They were talking about how scared they were to go to... it was either some sort of counselling or a prevention centre. And I think it was a weekend or something and for some reason they couldn't contact the centre.

Are you okay and did you get help, anon?

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that a romantic relationship is not something I want, and honestly, something I'm not sure I'll ever want. Anytime me dating someone comes up, I'll just say it's not something I'm interested in "right now", assuming I'd be interested in a couple years. But I've been saying "not right now" for several years, and at this point I can't imagine it's going to change, which scares me.

The few romantic relationships I've had (because I felt like I was "supposed to") I just wasn't happy in. They weren't bad or abusive or anything, just... not what I wanted. Lately I've realized that my platonic relationships make me a lot happier than any romantic ones have, and I just can't help but feel like there's something wrong with me because everyone wants romance (or at least that's how it seems to me). I feel like as long as I have some good friends and my family, I'm good, but I get this feeling that I'm supposed to want "more" somehow, so obviously I'm doing it wrong.

I don't want to be a freak. :(

I had a panic attack from bumper to bumper none moving traffic this morning and wound up going home, screwing over a friend that was waiting for me. I dropped my laptop when trying to take it into my bedroom so I could just sleep and stop shaking. I've forgotten again to buy cat litter for my cats. And when I just went out to the car to go buy some I wound up sitting in my car sobbing and couldn't even get the keys in the ignition. My place looks like I qualify for an ep of hoarders. I don't have a job. I cry over everything lately. I just -- I want to curl up and just sleep forever. For everything to just stop. And I'm so scared that if I tell anyone how broken I feel and everything I'll get put in a mental ward and I'd rather die then be in the mental ward.

No, I'm pretty sure you need to tell somebody. This is obviously impacting your life in significant ways.

Edit: I understand your concern but... you can't keep on the way you are right now. This is an unsustainable situation and it sounds like you are too deep to see how to get back up on your own.

Asexuality confuses me

So. That post up above or below or wherever reminded me that I wanted to post this awhile ago but never did.

I think I'm most likely asexual but considering I don't even completely understand what it means I can't say for sure.

If it just meant 'isn't interested in having sex with people' then I would have no problems making sense of it. But people on that site always point out that it's about 'sexual attraction' and not whether or not you want to have sex with people.

I don't really see the difference tho? I mean what IS 'sexual attraction?' The only explanation I could find was that you could look at a specific person and want to have sex with them and that was 'sexual attraction.' But if that's what it means then I'm not going to look at ANYONE and want to have sex with them because ... I don't want to have sex with anyone. So how is 'not feeling sexual attraction' NOT the same as 'not wanting to have sex with anyone' when sexual attraction MEANS 'wanting to have sex with someone?'

Maybe I'm missing something but I just really don't get it.

Could be about those cases where you find someone else hot but still wouldn't really want to have to have sex with them, because of reasons? If you're celibate, or if there are medical reasons why you don't want to have sex, or if you want to wait until your married, or whatever, then you might still feel that if you were to have sex, you could still feel drawn to certain people in a way that tells you that if you were to have sex, it could totally be with them if your body has any say in the matter.

That said "sexual attraction" for me isn't the way the people like that site described it at all. It's more that I like to be around some people, and I feel like I want to touch them a lot (usually I don't actually touch them, because boundaries). And (oversharing alert) my nether parts start feeling warm when I look at them or when I'm near them, although I don't always notice. That's pretty much it, for me. I'm sure it's different for different people, though.

I found out my friend starting writing Omegaverse fics a few weeks ago and it's not really my thing so I had put it out of my mind until just now when I accidentally clicked on my friend's ao3 page when I meant to look at someone else's page and saw my friend's newest story-

Now I don't have problems with rps as long as I don't go anywhere near them because imagining real people, married real people even more so, having sex squicks me the hell out. But now every time I see my friend I'll be reminded of her self lubricating ass story and her real people fisting story and I CAN'T

I don't want to ignore her but I don't think I can talk to her right now without getting all weirded out and saying something that might piss her off accidentally, because I'd be thinking about the KNOTS and FISTS in ASSES instead of what she's saying

I don't know what to tell you, man. I've been desensitized to that shit long ago. I mainly write pretty vanilla things, but I have friends who are into RPS and mpreg and a/b/o and all that shit.

Maybe look up freakier things on the internet until your brain eventually shuts down and nothing freaks you out anymore? IDK.
