What people/shows/games do you commonly get confused?

For instance, I still get Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon confused at first glance. I also get Tom Waits and Ron Perlman mixed up. Regardless, they both creep me out.

And though it hasn't aired, I expect I will be confusing the titles of Almost Human and Being Human every time I google search it.

so I have a relaxing day so I have spent it catching up on TV. I started watching Super Fun Night but I find it incredibly awkward and not as funny as I had hoped.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland seems interesting but I won't hold out for it.

Revolution, which was always up and down for me, still leave me with way more questions each week than answers (I'm still curious what happened between Miles and Rachel in the past)

Revenge, it's okay, I just keep watching as my guilty pleasure.

Nashville is my favorite show on the air, but mostly because I love watching it with my mom. i find it has a few too many storylines and is trying to juggle all of them at once and usually forgets about one an episode.

So any other opinions on TV shows airing? Thoughts on the ones I mentioned?

I've seen this trend in fic lately where people say "it's not really incest because they are focused on the third person" or something about how yes they're twins and they're fucking one person at the same time, but it's not incest!

Am I the only one that finds this odd? Still seems like incest to me. I just find it weird where people draw their label lines for fic.

Noodle and I are in the same place tonight and can do passible Applejack and Rarity voices (if you don't mind Rarity sounding like a perverted man). We're hoping to do readings for Shitstream tonight (6pm, see the announcement at the bottom under Count Chardmonster) and were hoping to actually use this. We'd read it live.

Does your mental image of characters ever stubbornly refuse to match their description?

I have this problem with a few different books. A character will be quite clearly described one way, but my brain will consistently supply me with images of the character that violates one or more elements of that description. Even without the confusion of actors in adaptations or misleading illustrations. Does this happen to anyone else?

Nervous about uploading and continuing speculative fiction story

I had this idea about this steampunk story I started about the Victorian age but with the gender-rights situation flipped. A matriarchal but flawed society. When I posted it on Fiction press it got a few people interested. I kinda thought about moving it to A03 and continuing (A03 is more familiar to me) .


The only thing stopping me is the possible reactions. That people will yell at me and cuss me out because they think I'm an MRA. Is that likely? Could I get away with telling this simple story without people thinking I have an ulterior motive?

Ok, so a group of friends is watching a horror movie special on TV. Any horror movie, then during what seems like a normal scene change BOOM Stephen Gammell illustration. After a few seconds the movie continues as normal leaving the viewers wondering WTF just happened and if it will happen again.

It would probably only ever work one time though.

and what's up with Ezio's walk cycle? I think he has the female walk cycle instead of the male one - he cants his hips when he walks and it's especially strange when he's carrying something.

On a calmer note, I'm really glad my friends pushed me to play this game. I only got halfway through the first one because I wound up not being able to stand the gameplay and the story wasn't interesting enough to suffer through it.
