This post is inspired by a secret I read yesterday about how the fandom completely turned off an anon from watching this show. I did a double-take because I've never had that reaction, but then again, I don't visit Tumblr. :P

I don't think it's fair for bad fans to ruin the fun for others curious about a really good show with very positive messages for kids and adults alike, so I was thinking about if people were interested in a forum to talk about Steven Universe, but without the SJW rage/bullying? Just a chill place to discuss episodes, fanart, and plot speculation.

What do you guys think?

Fandom Discussions Question

So I created a Livejournal community for the Star Wars animated shows because I'm super loving Rebels and want to talk about it. And all I've found on tumblr is caps, not any discussions or fanworks.

But then I looked for places to advertise and realized that most of the Star Wars livejournal communities haven't been posted in for a year or more. So are there places to advertise livejournal stuff? Or are there better places to start communities/discussions? Is Dreamwidth more active? I just don't know.

She knew there was a lump in her breast for over a year, according to one of her friends. The friend told her to get it looked at. Her boyfriend told her to get it looked at. Married People and New Friendships

I'm at the age where most people are married or getting married in the near future. Someone recently told me that if I try making friends with coworkers who are married or engaged, it's a waste of time (especially as I don't have a boyfriend or husband, so it's not like we can do a couples night - they didn't say that, just throwing that point out there).

But even with that in mind, is this really true? I did make a married friend before, after all - we drifted for other reasons. And I know married people with single friends. So I'm not sure I buy it. But I'm also not married/engaged.

Hey everyone, sorry to bother you, but is anyone else having trouble with dreamwidth/LJ? I can't resize pics, and it's starting to become a bit of an issue.

For what it's worth, this is the screen I get (on both LJ and DW) when I try to go to the picture properties:



Note the lack of any sort of button beyond cancel? And I can't get anything in the "width" and "height" boxes, no matter if I click the "refresh" button, or try toggling to little lock.

Sorry to bother you with all of this, but it's really becoming an issue when it comes to posting here, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask? :)
