Help Identifying a genre / stories in that genre

Hi all.

I'm trying to find more media of a particular type of story, but I don't quite know what the type of story is. I want to guess it's neo-noir, but searching for neo-noir doesn't quite Scratch that itch. Things like "Chinatown" are good, but not what I'm feeling. I can't put my finger on why. Maybe it's a sub genre of neo-noir? I really don't know.

If I list the stories can y'all help point me in the right direction?

With Games it's somthing like

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy - Just finished it. Brilliant game. Shitty rushed ending but decent story. Wish the ending had got the build up it deserved. Anyway this is the game that started me on this kick.
Heavy Rain - Playing it now. Pitch perfect, Like F:IP but with a solid complete story.
Beyond: Two Souls is quite a few parts felt right.
Max Payne 1 and 2 - 3 did not hit the spot at all. Decent gamplay, but the world felt wrong.
Watch_dogs.
Hitman - The later ones in particular.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

In terms of books it would be something like

American Gods

And for movies we have

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
The Matrix - First one only.

So yeah, Can anyone figure out the name of this itch I'm trying to scratch? Or point me in the right direction of more stories of this world?

Weekend Plans

What is everyone going to be doing this weekend?

It will be storming all weekend here in Oklahoma so I'll probably be staying in and watching movies. It is Mother's Day on Sunday and I think we are going to be making a lunch for my mom. The menu seems to be fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some roasted veggie. So that is something to look forward to!

You know, For all the shit Joss is (deservingly) getting right now for the sexism, I do have to admit something that has just dawned on me: He has put together the avengers team for the next avengers movie in such a way that there is only 1 white male on the team.

That actually does kind count for something I think.

I've never watched it before, but one of my favorite authors had one of my favorite fanfiction tropes in a TMNT fic, and now I'm going through it. watching the 2012 series right now, and I'm liking it so far. Have heard bad things about the romance stuff, but I figure I'll just ignore it.

Anyone have any fic recs? Raphael is my fav, but I'm looking for anything with dumb sibling/family fluff. Or mind control. That works to.

Awkward question about =sex=

OK, so I'm a lady, and I have a question for guys.

So this all started when I was reading a fic where a guy and a gal are having sex, and things are coming close to a climax for the guy and the story describes it as something along the lines of "he felt the pressure in his lower stomach build up."

Now ignoring the fact that the author probably meant stomach as a general location and not as the place where food goes, do guys really feel a pre-orgasm pressure in their abdomens? I know it's that way for me as a lady, but is it really that way for guys too? I thought if there was any pressure being built up, it would be in the balls, where there's cum and stuff.

Can someone help me out?
