I wanted to like this show more than I did. Love some of the ideas (living ship, bound living pilot, the peacekeepers), but disliked some of the wackier bits and execution of some of the ideas. It's definitely not a show for everyone. If you don't like it half way into season 2 when it properly starts kicking into the wormhole stuff, you aren't going to. I think that's partly why I didn't like it as much as I wanted too, everything ended up revolving around wormholes and ehhh......

Interestingly, I've never gotten around to reading the books, but I actually got most of the things you're talking about from the movies. Maybe having the expectation of it being more spelled out made it seem lacking from the book-reader perspective?

(psssst. That's gotta be Pokemon Special fanart, not game-canon fanart exactly. Lance and Pryce are villains in that, particularly in the Yellow chapters.The elite four and several Kanto gym leaders are bad guys)

BUT I AGREE give me some statues and action figures. Holy shit I want Archie and Lance figures on my shelves joking (ie: lewding) it up with all my other toys. Even just some Team ___ related clothing accessories shit I'd eat that up or at least window shop forever.

Unrelated to your autistic interpretation, but am I the only one who hated him? He was so incredibly annoying. I stopped playing I got so sick of him constantly popping up to interrupt my game play.

I'm kind of the same and kind of the opposite. I don't really care for the profiling, especially as a lot of the episodes (to me) are phoning that part of it in lately. But, I've really loved all the characters. Even the new ones they bring in (I liked Seaver too!). I think they do a very good job with the characters. They're one of the better shows with character continuity, and they're generally pretty respectful of the long-term characters. I feel rewarded for being a long time fan.

I don't think I'll ever stop watching. I still enjoy all these characters and want to see what they're up to.

It also didn't come anywhere near the highs of TNG (if you think any part of Voyager was better than s3-5 of TNG I don't know what to say) and it just had a ton of really frustrating really weird things in regards to stuff like characters, some of the performances, scripting, etc.

Also just sorry of inevitably suffers thru comparison to DS9 which is almost effortlessly better, sorry not sorry

I feel you, OP. I don't have any of the new platforms to play anything that's been released in the last decade, so I stick to my nostalgia games. I broke out some old ones recently, and just wanted all the fic and art. But, there's very little out there, especially of the shippy variety. I've been contributing my own stuff but it's a bummer to put some much work into something that so few people are interested in.
