I started a new position in a job and it's very stressful with little hope of improving. I don't have the credentials for a better one yet. I'll quit at the end of the year since they'll have more time to find someone.

I wish I didn't spill spaghetti everytime I have to interact with someone.

The job I really wanted has already been filled. So why was the position up on your website then? Argh.

I'm just a complete wreck right now. Sinus infection and sore throat, mental health issues, insomnia, just everything feels bad right now and I feel like I'm in a hole I can't get out of.

My mother gave me a "Well you should be thankful for your stomach issues because you cousin has migraines and all these other health issues etc," talk the other day and it was a bit irritating.

One, my stomach issues may seem minor to her but they caused me to not eat and lose a bunch of weight. I'm now only able to eat with medication and even then I can't eat much.

And two, telling me someone is sicker then I am does not make me feel better about my own situation. It makes me feel bad for my cousin and then just tends to make me kind of hate life in general. It never makes me happy by comparison, I think it's shit when people try to tell me to be thankful because someone else has it worse.

I am so sick of air conditioning this time of year. I can't dress warm because it's hot out, but I step into a building and freeze.

My friends are getting married and I'm so happy for them and all the other ones in relationships. So happy!

But now there are only two of us who are single aaaand of course it's you and our friends have been dropping unsubtle hints since high school about us and they're back at it again.

I am a grown ass woman and I should know how to handle this but I don't.

I think my best friend and I are going to break up soon. We've been having a lot of petty arguments and it seems like I'm more unhappy after we spend time together. I think a lot of it is my fault, but some of it is theirs. But we're both stubborn and have fragile egos so I feel like instead of addressing the issue like adults we're just going to ride this train until it crashes in a fiery blaze. I don't want to make any hasty decisions either, though - maybe all we need is space.

This week has sucked for me in a myriad of ways, both at work and at home. I feel like I'm failing at life. I'm just trying to make managing to go to work my main priority because if I fail at budgeting or dieting or cleaning at home I can make up for it but I obviously need my job.

(I think most of this is depression, but usually when I'm depressed there's some kind of event or thought that triggers it, and this is more like my brain saying "Hey, things seem pretty OK so how about I get really depressed?")

Do you think 'cumslut' is an offensive term?

I started following someone who got into a huge fight with someone over the word. They thought the word was offensive and didn't like that the person (who was a former friend of her's) was using it to describe a character. Do you think it's offensive?

To me it's not necessarily a word I find offensive, but it's too vulgar that I would probably unfollow/block someone who used the term a lot.

I've spent several hours the past couple of days downloading scifi/fantasy/fairytale/various other ebooks from Project Gutenburg. Probably more books than I could read in a year.

Had an argument with my partner yesterday because I wasn't in the mood for cuddling/intimacy. I've had some bad experiences and some days I just really don't want to be touched, like, at all. He either makes light of it and thinks I'm being silly or sulks and thinks I just don't love him anymore.

I feel bad because I know there are probably people out there who would kill for a partner that is so touchy-feely and cuddly but some days I just can't handle it and want to be by myself. I feel like a shitty girlfriend right now.

My girlfriend just got an out of nowhere job inquiry from a former mentor, for a job that would pay way better than her current one and have benefits! Its cool but she is also freaking out cause its super last minute and would start asap, and she feels bad about potentially just up and leaving her current employer. (Her current job is at a daycare and she told them she could stay for at least a year cause she wasn't looking for other jobs, which she wasn't.) Still, it would be a great opportunity, if she gets the offer.
