Really really sorry about the constant lateness, everyone. Just got out of a 5 hour meeting, quite possibly overnighting here. It should go back to normal next week (I hope).

I've taken my meds consistently since I was seven all the way up to last year. Then I suddenly gained a gag reflex and now it's an effort to make myself do it more than three days in a row. It's troublesome. I'm so anxious right now that the thought of talking to my best friend scares me, and, well, he's my best friend. I shouldn't feel like this. They stop me from feeling like this. But I just can't take them normally anymore, and changing them to something smaller isn't an option (it was hard enough to find something that even worked). Sigh. How do you guys make yourselves do things you don't want to do?

Anyone else got writer's block atm? Mine is so bad right now, it's like I've lost the ability to write anything worthwhile.

Right now I'm rereading a fandom classic (obviously not by me) and crying with frustration into some ice cream.

I had to really push myself to get the entire lawn cut in time to grab a shower and go to class tonight and I'm still feeling it. Tomorrow the school festival next door starts and we wanted our property to look nice.

I've been trying to find some songs to go with multiple different relationships in my fanmix, and while I found some great songs for my OTP and for another romantic relationship, there are a bunch of cool friendships that are also interesting, but jesus fuck, good non-romantic songs about another person/relationship are ridiculously hard to find.

Shows/fandoms that you swore you'd never quite until you did

Does anyone else have that fandom that they thought you'd keep watching? That you kept watching even when it got really bad. But then at some point you did finally quit?

Mostly asking because I finally realized that I think I've finally quit Bones. I kept watching the last few seasons even though it was bad and the characters I loved were no longer the characters I'd fallen in love with, and things were making me actively angry. And then this summer I finally realized that I haven't actually missed the show. So I'm not going to be watching this season.

I'm not even sure why it has taken me so long. I gave up other shows when they got bad (Supernatural, House). But this one was harder for some reason.

Because they've prove this week that that is exactly what they are. Nothing more than thugs and dogs that need to be put down immediately.

I just saw Schindler's List for the first time and it was awwwwwwesome. Ben Kingsley, jesus, was amaaaaazing. And I thought Liam Neeson was a shitty actor before but he made that movie tight. It was really touching and great (though I thought the "Schindler's Jews now" part was too jarring, aesthetically speaking).

So...what are some things you've just discovered that you really like? Maybe you just discovered Almost Human or Fargo or Starsky & Hutch?

What are you looking forward (movie/book/videogame/event) to in the near or far future? What are you not looking forward to?

I am looking forward to several movies. Avengers:AOU of course. And the final Hobbit movie should be fun (my sister has never read the book and has no idea what is going to happen ಠ⌣ಠ).

In the VERY far future, I am looking forward to my (hopefully) awesome trip to NYC. I got two years to plan for the damn thing. :P

I was looking forward to The Giver movie before I saw how terrible it is going to be. I am not looking forward to winter. We got a lot of rain this summer and I fear it will carry over to a lot of ice/snow once it gets cold.

Legend of Korra book 4 premiere date...

Is apparently October 4. As in, this October. On the one hand, I'm really excited about it, but on the other hand it really bums me out that the network has been mishandling this show so phenomenally. Premiering a new season not even two months after the last one ended is just insane

how you handle frustration

The kind of frustration I hate the MOST is the kind where there is no way to solve the problem and it won't go away. I hate arguing with my mom because in the end she claims zero responsibility for anything and won't talk about it anymore so I'm just left in a mental place I can only describe as "stuck" and it feels really desperate. To top if off my sister is listening to her music out loud AGAIN. She seems unable to do homework in her room, and when she does it downstairs (which is always) she listens to music and she seems to be allergic to headphones. Every time I ask her to plug in headphones (which btw I almost always use and am always willing to use upon request) she asks "why?" and gets bitchy and passive-aggressive and mad. This time she turned her music down like that would solve everything but I can still. hear. it.

And all I want to do right now is eat. I want to eat a ton of junk food because that will make me fell better and make the stress go down. And I'm trying to resist because I just started Weight Watchers again and I really need to stick with this and lose some weight and stop having such a horrible relationship with food. But I can't think of any other way to not be so angry without driving myself into a tailspin of other awful emotions.

What do you to do release frustration, F!S? Also, what makes you the most frustrated? What unhealthy ways have you dealt with it that you are struggling with or that you've overcome? What healthy alternatives did you find? (this is a combination advice/conversation thread, because why not)

I finally got to see Frozen!

I liked it. Didn't quite live up to the hype, but it was good.

My only problem with it was, I don't think the movie really needed and out and out villain character at all.

Okay so I know I said I was taking a break but...I need some advice.

I need to find a way to earn a secondary source of money because as per my rent agreement I only ever see half of my paychecks.

I want to raise up enough money so at some point I can actually go out and meet up with my boyfriend in person someday.

I mean I need legal stuff...and stuff that involves me doing something... I don't feel comfortable AT ALL with taking money for nothing.

I'd really like to be ready to move out at least in 2015 or 2016.

Demisexuality pisses me off

It seriously seems to me like just a way for people to feel special about themselves.

The demisexuals I've come across all admit attraction to people they don't know and have no connection to. They'll even gush about how they want to "fuck" those people. But apparently that doesn't count, because in practice, they've only had sex with people they've felt "connected" to. Like, what the fucking shit? Hi, you're fucking normal.

It's not a separate sexuality to only fuck people that you know and like. It's not a separate sexuality to have to be in a relationship with someone before you fuck them. Jesus fucking christ, how is it that you don't know the difference between having sex with someone and being attracted to them? They're two separate fucking things.

And, ya know what? If you're writing self-insert smut, then fuck you, you're experiencing sexual attraction to a character, and you cannot logically have any fucking emotional connection to someone WHO DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST.

The baby should be properly toasted to, so he/she will be healthy and grow big, but really it's just an excuse to celebrate.
Also, sister in law doesn't want my brother to hold her hand etc. during the labor and given the overprotective tendencies that awaken in him and no one even knew about, little bit of alcohol should stop him from going crazy with worry, hopefully.
