3 days from now, my horticulture class might get a contract to design and construct a memorial garden at an ex air base. Coupled with a demolition job on Tuesday and my own voluntary position tomorrow, should be fun!

I just got done with a massive project that had consumed my life for months and now and I don't know quite what to do with myself now.

I don't have much of a social life now because I moved to my city for this job several years ago, but I've been either so busy or traveling out of town that I haven't gotten a chance to get to know anyone. I feel awkward trying to move forward making friends because it's embarassing to have lived here this long and not really know anyone.

I got my biggest project ever a while ago. The catering division reported $500K of food and equipment transferred from other divisions. Admin recorded $600K of food and equipment transferred to catering. Admin had me look over the receipts to determine what the hell happened. (I wasn't able to find it all, but I found out that months worth of catering receipts had mysteriously gone missing. Someone's getting slapped on the wrist for this.)

What specific character favoritism that you've seen in your fandoms bugs you the most? Even if you like the character in question? Why does it bug you so much?

When I say "specific", I mean -- actually tell us the fandom, the character(s), and the kind of favoritism fans give them.

Doesn't have to only be with characters who are favorites among the entire fandom. Can also work with characters who have a subset of fans who favor them hugely.

...and for the first time in a long time, I am totally sick of reading about hot dudes getting it on. Can someone rec me some great het or femslash? Bonus if it's in Buffyverse, Doctor Who, Original Star Wars (which basically means Han/Leia), or MCU, but I'll take pretty much anything.

Also, totally does not have to be porny, as long as it's not sickly sweet and melodramatic. Slow burn or sweet romantic short stories and stuff...ahhhh. Though I'm also jonesing for some really steamy Buffy/Faith.

It's interesting to look at this in the frame of something which is being increasingly lead by social media and the merging with almost game media esque campaigns.

Look at the use of gopro and ISIS raid videos which are literally almost indistinguishable from FPS, and the creation of over the top characters with their own nicknames like "the bull of helmand". How is this going to evolve, and to what extent has our rampant media already pathed the path for it?

So. There's a blogger that I have followed for awhile on a site where I don't have a profile. I briefly anon-corresponded with them, because we shared the same interests and I thought they were cool (they knew I was one anon, if that's relevant). Anyways, through a coincidental series of events, I discovered that they knew friends of mine/were close friends with some acquaintances. And now I feel too weird reading their blog (much less continuing to comment) because I feel like it's weird or creepy that I know this about them, especially since I thought they were cool/would have loved to be friends with them. Is this weird or is this my social anxiety showing through?
