Does anyone ever feel that they've bitten of more than they can chew, fanfic-wise? I idly posted a ficlet, which got a lot of nice comments, so I posted a second part, and now somehow I seem to have created expectations that my story will be a long, chaptered fic. I don't know if I have the smarts to deliver, and I'm basically panicking.

I'm stormpilot trash but my fandom friend likes Kylux so I'm writing him a (soft) Kylux story for his birthday. It's gonna be fun!

Fic I'm writing is coming along well, I got it all figured it out in my head. I need to learn to put down a certain number of words everyday, so it becomes a habit and I can really get better faster.

And I'm gonna start from scratch another fic idea, because I've been dragging this other one for too long and I'm not in love with my own fic anymore.

Maybe more of an LJ question, but do writers go on LJ anymore? I feel like whenever I talk about writing, there's radio silence unless it's related to fanfic...

I'm writing a The Man from Uncle fanfic, and I want to use an arranged marriage trope.... but it's set in the 60's when gay marriage wasn't a thing. Any advice on how to handle this?

Is there any way to write an OFC for an Outsider POV fic without being accused of being a Mary-Sue? Or should I just accept that the possibility of that accusation exists whenever I write and OFC, and just get the hell over it?
