Last year at work (seasonal job), there was a girl that I, and others, had a hard time working with for various reasons.

This year, she apparently was hired at the same place, but was hazed by people from the year before to the point where she left after the first day.

I don't work there this year, this is all second-hand.

On one hand, I feel really bad for her, bullying isn't okay, and it really sucks that that happened.

On the other hand, given her track record of stretching the truth, I feel like she may have over exaggerated some of the bullying, and honestly, I'm glad she's not working there anymore, even though I wish she had left due to different reasons.

Has that happened to anyone else? You feel bad, but not as bad as you feel like you should?

Do you ever mix up members here?

I went to my county fair today by myself. First time for me since I usually go to the state fair (by myself too). The rides look good but I don't go on them because what is the point of it when you are by yourself? The last time I've been to an amusement park was probably 2006 I think (Kings Island) but I was with my brother.

Do you go to amusement parks or fairs by yourself? Do you enjoy it or does it have to be a shared experience with someone?

I never feel anything for very long. Something amazing can happen to me and half an hour later I'll feel lonely and depressed because of something else that happened but was a much smaller deal. Not only do I wish I could feel good for longer, I also feel like a fraud, like even if something triggers me horribly it goes away too soon for it to count in some people's opinions. Sadness and that kind of thing is the only thing that seems to stick around.

What are some unusual things that give you terrible second hand embarrassment?

There was a con recently which had some actors from Captain America at it answering questions/signing autographs/taking pictures. And I get so embarrassed watching them answer questions at their panel! I used to love watching SPN cast panel videos on YouTube. I am sort of okay if I just listen to the video but watching it just makes me cringe.

Also, seeing pictures from the fan photo ops make me super cringey as well. I think it is because I am projecting how terrified I would be to ever meet a celebrity onto them.

Has anyone noticed this happening to them? I've lost weight recently, and it's made me rethink wanting to lose more. When I was bigger guys never paid any attention to me and although at the time I wasn't happy about it, in retrospect it was a good thing. Because now guys are starting to make gross comments seemingly out of nowhere, and I'm sure it'll just get worse as I lose more weight. It used to happen constantly when I was really skinny (not that I was super "hot" or anything, but for some guys being skinny is apparently enough), and it was around the time my ex broke up with me and I started figuring out my sexuality that I started gaining weight, so I kind of wonder if maybe on some level it was intentional, so I wouldn't get unwanted attention anymore. I know I still need to lose some more to be at a healthy weight but all the sexual innuendo makes me uncomfortable.

How do you get past it?

I fit in a size 22 jean! Size 24 is still super comfortable in the waist, hips and ass, but 22 isn't uncomfortable and its "short/petite" leg length is actually short enough to not be trailing the ground when I walk or enveloping my feet when I go upstairs barefoot.

Advice wanted! Dealing with feeling alone.

I'm very introverted so I like to have a lot of alone time. However, never being able to interact with people, and feeling lonely and abandoned is totally another story. I'm currently in a situation where I spend almost all my time alone and I rarely get to socialize with anybody, and absolutely zero personal connections or conversations besides those I have with my family. Any advice? I'm struggling to just go with the flow and be comfortable with it right now.

To all the wimpy new-age choice 'feminist' that keep showing up here to champion men's rights with the tired rhetoric that "Male sexuality isn't degrading or harmful to women" and that "Fanservice for men isn't inherently objectifying to women" I would like draw your attention to secret 9. This is what they like. This is what they will do to us if left to their own devices. This is degradation, and this is why we 'radical' feminists will not let them get away with it. This is not a game of "Everyone hold hands and accept the way the other people are" this is an "If you're not with us, you're against us" situation.

Well, I'm the anon who had the first response saying that the shot on the right was fucking awful, and I'm a heterosexual male. And Dethtoll is in there saying it's awful, and he's a male who as far as I'm aware is basically het (sorry if I am identifying you wrong Dethtoll). So I'm really not sure how well your argument holds up given that there are at least two straight men agreeing with you in re that secret.
