I immediately shut off when people start talking about social justice, especially when they use terms like "so important" or "why is nobody talking about x?"

I may be incapable of real love. I can adore people and think they're wonderful... then forget about them the minute after when distracted by something else and never factor them into anything else I do. Unless they're present and immediately on my mind, I've forgotten I have a significant other, or that significant other exists at all, loads of times. I care about people, but I don't think about them on my own.

I sorta resent, not enough to stop or alter it greatly, the fact that I get my best friend gifts of $40 or upwards for their birthday and Christmas, you know, nice gifts, to get nothing in return, when they use to get me stuff not necessarily equal in value but still something. To my knowledge their financial situation hasn't changed a whole lot, but they are spending a lot more on them-self in recent years.

I have to hold back from people who use netspeak if they're over the age of fifteen - especially on serious posts. The thing is that I have to remember my audience - on a book or writing forum, it probably wouldn't make me an asshole to say something. Facebook? It would make me an asshole.

... of course, thinking "writing and book forums are for smart people who don't use netspeak, Facebook is for people who also don't know the difference between 'they're' and 'there'" also makes me an asshole, doesn't it?

I don't care about problematic content in manga/anime. Like, at all. I like a pairing that's seen as abusive by western fans, but I just...don't think the attempted murder matters that much? Maybe I've just been reading/watching anime and manga for too long, but it just comes off as...cliche/overused that I just don't care. I don't equate that genre to real life. (I would not tolerate manga/anime cliches in real life, however)

I hate hearing about other people's relationships. It's gotten to point where even songs about love get on m fucking nerves.

And this isn't from a lack of love on my end.

I don't understand people who complain they don't have any money, then buy expensive stuff. I'm not saying poor people can't have nice things. I'm saying you have to be practical. Apparently this makes me an unfeeling capitalist pig.

(Okay, I don't think capitalism is that bad, either. But I'm not against welfare or food stamps or being a decent human being. I just don't think "I bought expensive shoes" and "I'm worried about my electric bill" should be in the same sentence.)

Whenever I'm reading the newspaper or comments on the internet and I see a really stupid, awful opinion (like this one http://www.cincinnati.com/story/opinion/readers/2014/09/17/transgender-surgery-is-not-a-medical-necessity/15767343/) I'm never ever surprised when it's a dude writing it.

I pretty much automatically distrust people, especially but not only guys, when they talk about how much they like and enjoy spending time with their significant other. I know intellectually that isn't true, but it always, always, always Sounds like a polite lie.

Even though I have Asperger Syndrome I would sometimes feel awkward and uncomfortable around people who are more severely autistic. But I don't judge them for it , and I feel really bad about it like a hypocrite. Even though I get along with people who have milder Asperger Syndrome just fine. I still care about people with autism and sever-er Asperger Syndrome being treated well and stuff.


(Also I can't help wondering if other people know I have it and feel uncomfortable around me. But that's another issue. *sigh*)

I'm really uncomfortable seeing pre-op male-to-female transgender people when I'm in a women's restroom. I'd rather there be three separate bathrooms: one female-bodied-only and one male-bodied-only for people who are like me and get nervous around people of the other sex regardless of gender, and one for anyone of any gender or sex to use freely. That would also account for non-binary people who aren't comfortable using either men's or women's bathrooms.

I think the "don't teach women how to prevent their rape, teach men not to rape!!" train of thought is useless at best and incredibly damaging at worst. People aren't going to stop being criminals. You have to take responsibility for yourself. It's a shitty world, and with the majority of rape victims that get blamed for it happening, I can't imagine not taking precautions. Yeah, sometimes that means not getting to have totally mindless fun.

I actively fight against having to work with anyone under the age of about 25. I just can't stand the entitlement that younger people have. I have a 20-year-old working for me now who rolls her eyes at me when I ask her to do something that's part of her job and I just want to shake her and shout THIS IS A REALLY GOOD JOB CONSIDERING YOU HAVE NO EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
Every assistant I've had under the age of 25 also constantly checks their phone on the job. I've had to fire someone for it before.

Sorry. Just. Kids these days, man.
