I made a Labyrinth backstory where Jareth was originally human. I gave him a mother, father, older brother, and then a pseudo-adoptive family... and then I killed all of them off horribly.

my favorite right now is a lawyer OC for MCU who worked with SHIELD handling prosecution of their enemies/gifteds/whoever and deals with all of the handling that comes with superhero/villain induced property damage/injuries.

she's just a regular human, but I like her perspective in a world of superheros

Working on a sequel to a Ryan/Esposito Castle fic that includes a fleshing out of an OC briefly mentioned in the original. She saw the chemistry and tried to talk Esposito into a threesome with Ryan when Esposito was still in major denial about his feelings. It didnt happen. Now it will and along the way Esposito will overcome his last mental hurdle surrounding sex with men (ie Esposito gives his first blow job).

I'm really digging this character because she loves friends and she loves sex and she loves sex with friends but isn't really interested in romantic partnering.

I have a bunch of gijinka Pokémon OCs, if that counts, since they're based on Pokémon I've had in-game. I also have a Digimon gogglegirl OC, because we need one Digimon series where the main character is a girl, damn it.

I had a busy day and I'm gonna whine about it if someone asks me to do more work.

A friend has been diagnosed with a mental disorders. One of the symptoms of said disorder is being overly dependent of others as well having fear of abandonment. So with that in mind, I've tried to be patient with her. But lately it's been harder and harder to be her friend. She's really needy and requires attention at all times, regardless of what time it is, to the point that it's affecting my academic life. I tried to set some boundaries but she always panics and goes on about how I'm going to leave her like everyone else has left her, and sometimes hits at that it's making her have suicidal ideation (I am fairly sure she's not aware of how manipulative and abusive that is). The whole thing is starting to affect my own mental health.

So here's the thing, I want to put some space between us but... well. I'm afraid she'll fucking kill herself, basically. She's going to therapy but it's not helping. What do I do???

What are you looking forward to? Something personal or the release of a movie/film/game/book? Something soon or something a year away?

In the media, I am looking forward to Ant-Man and Jurassic World. I expect they will both be very fun movies to watch. I am vaguely excited for The Martian because I loved the book (and I learned Sebastian Stan is going to be in it).

Also, I learned today that a podcast story (We're Alive) I enjoyed thoroughly is going to have a sequel focusing on a different group of people. If it matches the story and production of the first series, it will be spectacular.

In personal news, I can't wait for my sisters' birthday party in August. We still have no idea where we are going BUT I have already picked out a cake and what presents I will be getting them.

It seems like every time there's a thread anywhere on unpopular opinions about books or movies or whatever, it turns into nothing but "they said this was good; I didn't like it". I'd like to hear some of the opposite opinions. Not that I don't enjoy the complaints but it gets a bit old after a while without some happy stuff to balance it out.

I have a friend from college who I was very close with and, because of all manner of complicated BS, lost meaningful contact with. Basically the only way we're still friends is through facebook. I don't want to lose her as a friend, but her FB etiquette is nonexistent. She posts on my wall and comments on my photos constantly--regardless of whether or not she was anything to say--with, at best, childish reaction images, and far more often, explicit language, cringe-worthy attempts to work random old inside jokes into a comment on a picture of me with, say, my mom, or really overtly sexual stuff. I'm friends with some teachers and family on FB, and employers/people I babysit for. My town is tiny, and people have legit asked me and my mom who this girl is. Before I was out to my family, she posted explicitly lesbian-centric content, or comments that made it clear I was gay, on my wall all the time, and I always had to delete and pray nobody saw.

Anyways, the obvious answer is "talk to her about it"--I have, multiple times, as gently and politely as I possibly can, and she's clearly getting annoyed with me always deleting comments or posts or asking her to edit or delete them. She's got, like, sensitivity to criticism/abandonment issues and I don't want to play into them, but she recently commented on a photo of me and a friend--liked by and visible both of our families, the people I babysit for, and several teachers for both of us--with a photo of some dude from an anime (?) that said "the time has come, and so have I." Like, DUDE.

Anyways I know the obvious answers here--talk to her more sternly, unfriend, etc., but I'm wondering if anybody has any tips on the talking part before I get to the unfriending part? I'd hate to cause the hurt and drama unfriending her would definitely bring about.

So the cops just showed up at my door

I'd just gotten out of the shower when someone started banging on my door. I looked out, and it was a young (late teens/early 20s) guy and girl. I didn't know them, so I just ignored it.

As soon as they left, I realized my phone was missing, and thought maybe they'd found it outside and that's why they were knocking on the door. So I ran outside (still in my bath robe) looking frantically around for it. As I was getting ready to go back inside, the young guy pops back up and asks if I live here. I tell him I do, he asks if I'm sure (what kind of question is that?), I say yes, he says he and the girl were supposed to dog sit for someone, and this was the address they were given. I say they have the wrong address and go back inside.

A few minutes later, someone's banging at my door again. This time it's a freaking cop. I thought maybe the young kids had done something and he was looking for them, but he asked who I am. I tell him I live here and he
asks if I have ID. I show it to him, it clearly has my picture and this address. He said there'd been a "discrepancy", and I told him I already talked to the guy about the dog sitting and they'd obviously gotten the wrong address. It's obviously me in on my ID so he walks back around front. I went to look out the other window, and the young guy and girl are with two other cops, and the girl pulls out her phone to show them the text message with the address. I guess they figured I was a burglar or something because I wasn't who they were expecting, so they called the cops!

I was getting ready to go to go back out but I guess it's a good thing I hadn't left. My mom commented that if I hadn't been home, they probably would've busted the door down or something.

I'm the same one who had a hysterical girl show up at my door at 3:30 AM a couple weeks ago, if anyone remembers that.

Hopefully my excitement is over for awhile!
