I just want some equality. I hate the dynamic where the female perspective character stands around and watches while her male love interest saves the day, like Holmes and Watson with more (canonical) fucking.

I have come across too many people in fandom that fly into rages if you dare break a canon f/f ship--even if it's to pair them with other girls. I don't understand that at all.

Even so, there are some good fandoms out there that support multiple f/f ships.

I have to agree. It can be really stressful in frequently-updated fandoms, having new canon information coming in all the time to keep up on.

I don't have high hopes for the movie being good (look at the track record of video game adaptation movies), but yeah, always loved the aesthetics of the games. They had stunning character designs for sure.
