I made chili in the crock pot. I am currently very nearly drunk on Sailor Jerry spiced rum and hope to be actually drunk shortly. Spent a couple hours in the pool earlier.

There's a lot of wincest stuff posted on the 4th of july, so I've mostly been looking at that and eating frito pie. There was a death in the family yesterday, so no one's been in much of a mood to celebrate anything

Help: how to improve my English

ESL anon here. I can read any text no matter how difficult it is and I understand everything; my knowledge of English grammar is okay, not great but I don't make any big mistakes, I've done some online test and I usually get a 7.5/10. My problem is that my English doesn't sound very natural and I've been told that my English is pretty bad.

I spent most of my free time reading English or writing in English so it's not like I'm not exposed to the language and native speakers but I feel like I'm not making much progress.

Please help me, I don't know what to do to improve my English writing skills (｡•́︿•̀｡)

I was recently reminded of a Leverage story I read years ago and would like to find again. I am pretty sure I read it on Livejournal and while the show was still airing, but beyond that I can't be more specific. It starts with a much-younger Eliot getting his wallet lifted while he's out on the town. He chases the thief down, realizes that he's looking at a half-starved teenage girl who's in bad shape, and wordlessly takes all the cash out of his wallet and shoves it into her pocket before walking away. Years later, Parker finally realizes why Eliot looks so familiar and starts leaving little wads of cash in the exact denominations he gave her hidden in places she knows he'll find them because she doesn't know how else to say she still remembers it and she's grateful.

I'm feelin hopeless today.

What's your ideal love, f!s? I want someone who is caring and kind and considerate, and all of that same song. But I also want someone who is very active, and the thought of me saying "hey, wanna come to the store with me?" would make them jump from their seat and be so down (a comic book store, outdoor activities store, etc., or even just to go get a chocolate bar). Lazy days being rare is such a must for me. Especially because when those days do come, they can be a precious treat.
