Unfortunately, this episode is NOT getting a lot of love from me. Exploring Ezri's background was a good idea...but they should have found a better background than what we actually got.

Short story: The Jaunt by Stephen King, any of Poe's short horror stories
Film: Halloween (the first one), Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Psycho (the original), does Jurassic Park count?
Fairytales: I've always been partial to the creepier parts of Red Riding Hood.
Myths: vampires, Aswang (a Philippine mythical creature that is super creepy)
TV: Hannibal, Are You Afraid of the Dark, The Twilight Zone, the Outer Limits
Books: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, It, The Shining

I've been on a weird Junji Ito kick recently so if you haven't already check his work out. Especially Uzumaki, its really good.

Bad advice you've seen people give?

Either in advice columns or real life. I personally wince every time I see people recommend supplements or other weird home remedies to treat illnesses. Once, I was on this message board where a person's child had been coughing for FOUR WEEKS and they weren't sure if they should take her to the doctor. (The answer to that is YES, by the way.) Some dimwit said oh no, they just needed to cut an onion in half and leave it in her room overnight and that would help her cough. Arrghhh!

I am watching my nephew tomorrow because he has been bugging me about staying over. My sister and I are also going to attempt to make homemade patty melts and potato wedges for dinner. No idea what to do about dessert. Other than that, lots of OW because I still don't have the skins I want.

(For me, Articuno is my favorite of the Kanto legendary birds but also generally considered the worst competitively.)
