I hate the way every time Vagrant Story gets mentioned in interviews with SE staff, it manages to be both held up as an example of their greatest work and at the same time used as a cautionary tale for why they're so afraid to take risks. Make up your minds.

"Outsider being accepted after proving him/herself" describes the majority of the fantasy genre. If that's your only selling point, you could do so much better. I mean, I liked it too when I was 13-15ish, but you make it sound like Naruto is the master of that trope or something.

I don't ship them super hard or anything but they were the most interesting pair for me, and one of the things I found frustrating about the ~rise of Simon/Alisha was that Kelly didn't really have anything to do in s2. I still find it odd how abruptly Nathan/Kelly got dropped, IDK what the point of that whole thing was, was it just to make room for Simon/Alisha or is it going to ever be relevant again, or...?

Can't agree. That female Heavy's tiny arms couldn't pick up 150 kilograms, not to mention how half of the people who play it won't be in it for the gameplay but to try and look up the character's tiny miniskirts.
