Have any of the rest of you ever had a name where everyone you met with it was a problem in some way? On the other hand, are there any names you automatically like because everyone you've met with the name was awesome?

I used to dislike Julia and Julie, because I knew a few mean girls with that name, but now I know some nice ones, and one of the mean Julias got better anyway.

What are some examples of this being done well, in a way that doesn't make the character look bad (ex: someone who was a BAMF by being really nasty or ruthless softening up and developing into a better person, a character giving up power that had a bad effect on them, a good depiction of the effects of aging, etc)?

Examples of this being done poorly/illogically (ex: where it makes no sense, or destroys appealing character traits or abilities, or seems to be forced in order to make another character look better, or is sexist, etc)?

Stuff You Want Remakes Of?

Movies, video games, TV shows, whatever.

I'd love a Neverending Story remake. I adored it as a kid but as an adult, I realized it has some very long and boring parts. I think they could really do some great stuff today with CGI today.

I also sort of want a Labyrinth remake because I think Lee Pace would make a great Jareth.

What are your thoughts on faithfulness to the adapted material in movies/TV?

I know that there have to be changes just because you're moving from one medium to another, and yet I also feel that there's a point where a fan of the book/comic can rightfully be upset when the movie veers too far from the source material. But what "too far" is will be subjective.

When you want to see a movie adaption of your book/comic, what do you expect you'll actually get? Do you think there's a point where a movie-version can go too far in changes? Or is all fair as long as you end up with a good movie?

Big Bang Theory spoilers...what does everyone think?

If you like otomes, try the "Shall We Date?" series.

I'm especially liking:
Blood in Roses+
Ninja Assassin+
The Niflheim+
Angel or Devil+

They have a lot of good games. The translations from Japanese to English can be wonky at times, but not bad enough you can't get the gist.
