Can't really comment on this particular example, but a lot of tsunderes are just handled badly so I don't really care for them either. They flip-flop between between the tsun and dere and don't really have much of a reason for the tsun.

But from the sounds of it, it seems like this ones pretty cool.

GBM is unredeemably awful and most of the chefs on it are towering egos on legs or nonentities who slipped in because a region didn't have enough decent contenders. I hate-watched the entire season. But still, I kinda liked Emily. She reminded me of my stepmother.
