How Do I Background Check Myself?

This guy I used to know in school wanted to friend me on facebook. I never really liked him and have no interest in talking to him, so I ignored his request. And because I read The Gift of Fear and I'm following a creepy vibe I get off him, I blocked him too.

And now I'm the tiniest but paranoid about what he'll do when he sees I've blocked him. I don't go to that school anymore, but that fairly recent secret about discovering RL stuff about minor celebrities online has made me worry about what could be found on me online. Can anyone give me tips on how to cyber stalk myself to see what can be found? I don't want my address or phone number anywhere.

Not one of my conservative friends has mentioned anything about the upcoming US election on their facebook, but my liberal friends keep clogging up my feed with these incredibly smug posts about how their position is the best and how horrible and evil the opposition is. Then everybody who comments on those posts goes around congratulating each other on how right they all are.

While I in principal agree with a lot of what they're posting, they're just being SO FUCKING ANNOYING about it that it's making want to vote against them out of spite.

A few days ago there was an Avengers secret and a bunch of people made comments that were like "Ew, not this artist!" (Someone named zphal, I think.) But none of them explained why. And now I'm curious, what's so objectionable about that artist? Did they start some huge wank or something like that?

Living Room Smells Like Formaldehyde

Okay, so here's something I've been wondering.

About a week ago, I got hit with some kind of sickness that left me totally wiped out, a bad cough, and muscle/joint aches that made me feel like I was being beaten with a stick.

I've been wanting to start physical training again, but I still feel very tired and achy. Should I just suck it up and go out and exercise anyway, or should I wait until my body feels better?

80s style hair?

FS, I need some fashion advice:

I'm invited to 80s party this weekend. I have an outfit and I think I'll manage with the make-up, but I have no clue what to do with my hair. I have really thin and flat hair (a friend once told me that she used to hate her hair, but since she's known me she realized that it's not so bad. Thank you, friend. That was a stunning display of tact on your part. No, really.), about shoulder length. I have pretty much given up trying to do anything to it, these days I'm just happy if it looks vaguely combed*.

Even if I knew how to do anything more adventurous than a ponytail with my hair, I have no idea what kind of hairstyle I could pull off. I'm kinda afraid that if I tease my hair I'll just end up looking like I got too third base with a socket.




* When I say flat I mean that I don't have much hair, not that it's smooth. It's actually kinda frizzy and slightly curly (in a weird way) if left to its own devices. The moment I get into a slight breeze, however, I look like I just rolled out of bed.

Is something wrong my end, preventing me from posting?

So it was shown in today's page that Jones was a teacher of some sort when James was a kid. I don't know how to feel about this...Her and James obviously have some sort of relationship, but I never thought she would have had that much authority over him when he was growing it. It sort of taints it for me a little.
