Fandom Breakups...

Tell me about the fandoms you have left and why. Perhaps your most recent one? Or maybe the fandom you left that you wish you could rejoin but that spark is gone. Or the fandom you left and are the most bitter about.

Most recently I left the WTNV fandom. I wasn't really into the overarching plot they were starting. Tthe fandom's behavior also turned me off of the show.

And I still look fondly back on my Supernatural fandom experience. Sadly, the show became to repetitive and I lost interest in it. My interest in fandom soon followed and I finally moved my Supernatural fic bookmarks to my "Dead fandom folder".

So what are some of your fandom breakups?

I recently revisited the South Park series (hadn't paid attention to it for a while but the game made me watch a few newer episodes again) and I thought that South Park could very well be a twin/sister city to Nightvale. Now, I never really was in the South Park fandom so I wouldn't know if it exists, but I'd read it if it did.

Any crossovers you'd like to see/don't understand why they don't already exist?

A local pawn shop is selling them for about $130, and as I need a blu-ray player, I'm thinking about buying one. And if the rate I get through my Xbox 360 backlog of games is any indication, it could be a loooooong time before I exhaust my game options.

But I'm curious about a few things:
1. Do you have to buy into any sort of playstation subscription to be able to access things like Netflix? I just let my Xbox Live membership lapse, and if I could avoid updating it without having to give Sony money, I probably would.

2. Do you get used to those controllers? I've only used them a handful of times, and the shape and size are just so different to Xbox that I was having a really hard time with them.

3. Has anybody bought a used PS3 before? I'm assuming all traces of the previous owner are scrubbed and I can easily build my own profile (if that's even a thing), right?

Silly question time.

Would you like to live really close to your SO, during the first weeks/months of a relationship?

Currently, my boyfriend and I (together for about a month) live close but not too close. Big city, about an hour and a bit, by public transport (so, less since we meet halfway).
I was talking with my parents and told them I would actually be uncomfortable if we lived 15 minutes away or something that close. Because that way we could see each other all the time and we would get tired of each other. They were horrified and said I must not like him very much then.

But it's not that, I really care about him and I'd love to kiss him right now (we saw each other during the weekend, and are seeing each other again the next one), but we don't have many things we like to do, and how many times you can go and grab coffee? If we could do that multiple times a week I fear things would be tiresome after a while.

I focus on the new aspect of the relationship, because I don't feel this way with someone you know well. They mentioned people who live together, and of course, they see each other all the time, but it's not the same.

So, does anyone get what I'm saying or I'm really too weird and detached?
