Just recently there was a GC thread about what we'd like to see in FS for the coming year and someone said they'd like to see prettier secrets. Me too! But what does that mean to you?

Me, I'm not that picky, tbh. Nice pictures and font that's readable and not too ugly would be great.

What was the age you first started consuming porn?

In the interests of variability, we'll count any type of media including fanfiction. Accidentally finding your dad's Penthouse when you were ten, or whatever your story might be, doesn't count as consumption unless you immediately started looking for other sources of porn afterward.

So, f!s, what's your age of general perversion? If I'm being honest, I'm going to have to say 13 or 14 here.

I misread the above thread asking about "pretty" secrets and thought, "What the heck, might be interesting to know what FS thinks!"

So what kinds of secrets make you roll your eyes and say "let it go" or "really? THAT's what's bothering you?"

Asexuality in 'real life'

Most people in fandom know what asexuality is, even from just discussing the orientations of different characters. But I get the impression that most people (read: the population at large, not 'the internet') don't even know that it's a thing? It's easy to feel sort of insular in fandom, where everyone is more or less speaking the same language, and to forget that fandom is only a very small subset. Point being, if I said "I'm asexual" to anyone in RL, I don't even think they would know what that is. Whereas if I said "I'm gay" (I'm not), they would. To asexuals who are out and open about their sexuality, do you just receive lots of blank stares from people? (Unless you're hanging out with LGBT folks, who I'd assume are at least aware that asexuality exists.)

The Enquirer prints a lot of what I call "dad opinions" that are stupid and ignorant and divorced from reality but are mostly harmless. But this hateful shit? This is GAWBAGE, and it's times like this I wish I still worked for them because it would've gotten tossed in the "crackpot" pile alongside the racists and conspiracy theorists. Free speech works both ways and the Enquirer used to have standards in what it would print.

Fuck me, it's like something out of Youtube. I'm tempted to clip it out and put it in a book and save it with similar toxic shit and send it to the Enquirer saying "if I was still working for you guys this would never have happened."

For me - lately I started Civilization V and I am addicted. It's like a game was tailor-made to be the perfect strategy game for me.

I also started Advance Wars: Dual Strike - it's the only AW game I haven't played. I was talking to cloud_riven about this a few weeks ago and realized I really ought to just play it. I really like it even though it's different from Days of Ruin; it's much more like AW1 but a bit more complex. I like all three of them quite a lot though. On the flash side of things, I've been playing the hell out of Galaxy Harvest. I've been thinking of picking up Animal Crossing: New Leaf again but I don't know where my copy went. I mean it's in my room somewhere, but my room is a mess and I'm in the process of moving, so I will find it soon but I'm not gonna go out of my way right now to dig it out.
