Ummmmmm I'm an artist and I've had some of my art iconed, and to tell you the truth I couldn't care less if they credited me/asked my permission or not. Yeah, it takes hours for me to do one piece of art that's half-way decent, but once I put it on the internet I say it's free game to anyone. Slice it, dice it, saturate it up.

25. I'm an artist, know it's very hard to make good looking pictures... but really i could care less if people used my stuff for ICONS without credit. Seriously to me icons are nothing but avatars people like to use pretty pictures for, and sometimes make them look prettier in photoshop. seriously i'd be flattered if people wanted to use my stuff for icons! It's no different than using official art to me. Not that I'd not give credit when I can, but still.

25) the problem is, people would ask these artists whether they could use them. Often they were japanese, and wouldn't get a response. Now, I have several japanese pen pals, so yeah, just because fangirls are like WAIII SUGOI JAPANESECHAAAAN doesn't mean that Japanese ppl are automatically like "omg im better than you white ppl", it's just that more often than not these really popular fanartists don't have time to answer all the emails they get. Silence is a NO. If you do not get a YES GO AHEAD it is a NO... but people decided they were just being stuck up and started using them anyway. I've heard such excuses as "Well, i went through the trouble of [running shit through Altavista] getting it translated they could at least respond" but... ppl and their special snowflake complexes

People are free to hold their own opinions, of course. But please try and convince me how Vayne's whole "blame it on the Senate" tactic to get himself into power is original or interesting in ANY way? Compared to what this same team did with Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics, FFXII's story can't even compare.

I'd love to hear your arguments for how tacked-on Vaan and Penelo got anything that can be called "development." With the exception of a few of his scenes with Ashe, Vaan doesn't really show any sort of change. Heck, they had to make Revenant Wings just to justify the poor kid's existence.

Oh well, it's nice to see someone who enjoyed this game for a reason other than the fact that it has "Final Fantasy" in its title.

Cliche isn't bad, per say, but cliche + no characterization + annoying battle system + muddy plot + super pretentious all together... that does equal bad. Also, the recording quality of the voice acting bugged me.

...A friend of mine - and I am inclined to agree - once described FF12 as "that pretty blonde in a cute red mini dress." She's soooo pretty and seems nice so you want to talk to her, hit on her, get to know her... but then you do and you realize that her head is completely empty and she's actually just a shallow idiot.

There's a big difference between "difficult" and "too fucking tedious to be worth one's time."

Having bosses toward the end cast super barriers that you couldn't break that didn't let you attack with magic OR physical attacks wasn't a challenge. It was fucking cheap.

No other FF has employed such cheap gimmicks. And I hope FFXII is the first and last to do it.

People like that don't even have the right to LOOK AT fanart. Like what the fuck. They want to be appreciated for their art, and yet suddenly they are just nameless faces behind the fanart, nobody cares who they are, just how shiney the art is. 4. I definitely had Edward Scissorhand flashbacks. Just having Johnny with that super pale face and bags under his eyes holding blades was enough. And the way he shaved the face in the Pirelli contest? The same way Edward gave haircuts. I don't think he acted like Edward, but there were similarities and they were made quite blatant by the Tim Burton imagery.
