i really, really, REALLY wish that filmmakers would stop assuming that

WEIRD = CREEPY SEX STUFF

It doesn't have to and it makes so very sad every time I see that. I want to find the weirdest possible movies I can find, but they really don't have to have creepy sex stuff. That doesn't make your film "weird" and "innovative" if the stuff is there just to be "disruptive" or "challenge people's opinions." At that point, you're just being gross. There are so many so-called strange films I want to see, but I first have to do in-depth research to find out if it's just creepy things happening to people's bodies before I can watch it, and that inevitably lessens the impact of these movies that I would like to go into blind.

Last week was posted a secret I could have made, that I really wanted to make. Do you think I can still make my version of it, and if so, how long should I wait so it's not marked as a repeat? or should I just shut it and admit it's done once and for all?

Discovering fanfiction! I had been writing it all on my own and was astonished (and somewhat relieved) that it was a huge thing many other people did too.

Also finding a place where the standard pronoun was feminine in discussion and sharing! What a feeling of belonging. It almost makes me want to cry with joy still.

Still hanging on in fandom (just) but the sting of a really vicious, detailed and personal reply here a while back to a fandom opinion I expressed (not a personal attack in any way, just an opinion), essentially saying that all my fandom contributions were total crap, never really went away.

So, hey, thanks F!S commenter. Thanks a lot. I'm sure you'll be very pleased to know you got me in the end. Enjoy. I was having fun and now I'm not, so your mission is accomplished.

I don't understand why the fandom AND actors think Hannibal/Will is so fucking romantic??? And I don't mean in the "creepy/disturbing" way. I mean, I assume that at this point everyone on f!s has read me rambling about the series... but it's a dark five-episode Victorian costume drama about Arthur Conan Doyle and the prototype of Sherlock Holmes, Dr Joseph Bell. They're sad and desperately want to adopt each other (seriously, the levels of quasi-familial love in this series are unbelievable). And they solve cool crimes.

If anyone wants to recommend me their small canon that includes Epic Friendship(TM) where two people cling onto each other like whoa, I would be very grateful indeed 8_8
