Has anyone been following the Bowdoin College news?

In case you haven't, I'll summarize. At Bowdoin College, students who hosted a tequila party have been kicked out of their dorm. Because of noisy, drunken disorder, you ask? No, this punishment came as a result of drinking tequila while wearing mini-sombreros. This act of cultural appropriation was so dangerously offensive that two student government representatives face impeachment proceedings tomorrow for attending.

Apparently the school held a photo booth event last year, in which they provided sombreros as props. This event, however, went unchallenged.

Offended students issued a statement of solidarity to those who had been traumatized by the tequila party. If you keep up with college shenanigans at all, it will come as no surprise that the statement also includes a list of demands.

The poll will probably be open through Friday. I'd like to keep them open for about a week in general but since things are starting late this month I'd like to close it quickly. You can start the book whenever you want, once it's chosen, but we will have a discussion for it around the last day of April (exact day to be determined but will be announced). Also, before the end of April, I will start taking recs for May so that poll can go up as soon as possible after April begins.

Is it ok that I sometimes like to spend evenings or weekends on my own? I love my partner, and I love spending time with her but when she comes to my house on friday night with a weekends supply of shit, and I ask "That's a lot of stuff, you staying the weekend again?" is it ok that when she says "Yup" my heart sometimes sinks a little? I love her, but we spend every weekend together and every evening together, and I have to be honest, sometimes I just want to have a wank or play the computer, or whatever, and it's just not the same with her there. I have tried talking about this with her, but she always takes it so badly "No-one loves me! You can't stand to be around me! Why do you hate me? Maybe I should just kill myself" So I don't bring it up anymore. But I still feel like I'm losing something no matter how much I love sending time with her.

I'm looking for a dress to wear to a wedding in July. I've started doing some looking, and would love suggestions for where else I might look. My starting point was ModCloth and Unique Vintage, which might give you a small idea of my taste.

My current criteria are:
•My budget is $100; under is great, super-firm budget is $120.
•I'm 5'5", 110 lbs and somewhat busty. I usually wear a size small, 4 US (8 UK).
•I MUST be able to wear a regular bra with dress- no strapless/spaghetti straps/halters.

Although I don't really expect you to go find me a dress, I'm more looking for websites where I can shop for myself. But if you have thoughts on my criteria specifically, that's cool too.

Ghostbusters trailer!

I'm still on the fence about this movie. On one hand, I REALLY liked the designs for the ghosts and the proton packs, and I think the cast has good chemistry (I really like Kate McKinnon's character). I'm afraid though that it's going to have the same problem as TFA - being a kinda-sorta reboot/remake and taking too many plot points from the original.

What do you guys think?
