I just got a DSi last week. I was going to wait for the 3DS but a friend of mine in Japan told me that when you turn the 3D option off (as I would most likely do, I mean, my eyesight is bad enough as it is, and I don't care for 3D) that the screen looks really blurry and shitty. Also, I'm not really interested in any of the new games coming out.

I always heard "poker face" as "fuck her face," and it made me really uncomfortable every time. I was never so relieved in my life as when I heard the entire song and picked up context.

(That being said, I think a lot of her songs are just interpreted as fandom-related. Her song Teeth? Makes me think of the mirror universe in Star Trek every time. I just choose to ignore the vampire nonsense.)

I understand what you mean. my family is from Ukraine , and we moved during the time it was still apart of the Soviet Union. When I was in Hetalia fandom, I got a lot of people asking me if I wanted to RP Russia/America "hatesex" and Russia/Ukraine abuse type stuff (because we are Ukrainian) and it was what drove me out of fandom. It wasn't cool , and I said that , and people kept doing it. Just because it's history doesn't make it fair game , and finding out what it was like to personally have your history totally taken advantage of for some fangirl roleplays is not a good feeling at all.

I think that might be a pit pessimistic of you. I have friends in real life that I only take about school with, ones that I only talk about media with, ones that I only talk about the latest geekery with. It just means you're casual friends and not best friends, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Also, are you telling me you've never said something like "Would have written fic, but slipped on some ice and broke my wrist" or similar? Because if you have, that's real life, and if you haven't, I admire the hell out of your separation techniques.

I'm still playing but there's definitely a big pressure to go and buy Rift from my friends. I just don't see the appeal, and like you, can't afford two MMOs a month.

Which spec did you play, OP? You mention Forsaken so all I can think is a mage, but I don't know every class an spec.
