Boy Princess, it's a comic by Seyoung Kim. The plot is fantastic and complex, the characters are interesting and well developed, the art is gorgeous.... but no love. It's the perfect combination of fanservice and quality but nobody seems to know it exists. ;A;

I can't STAND social justice warriors on LJ and tumblr. They've taken what was a good cause and perverted it so they're now a laughing stock. Sf-drama, I'm looking at you. You used to be a fun read, where we'd mock and snark at people who deserved it. Now you're dedicated to mocking straight white cis people (slightly hyperbolic, I know), and everyone needs to be handled with kid gloves and walked on eggshells around because they're so OMG DELICATE! But then you go and dogpile people, alerting communities about people that are in them who ~might start wank~, even if the person you're referring to apologized ages ago.

Hell, I'm afraid to comment anymore on SJ stuff because I'm a white, straight woman with mental disabilites, so I don't check enough members on their "Oppressed Checklist".

I've recently started playing Mirror's Edge (I know I'm a few years late, but damn, it's held up really well!)... and I love it, but it also makes me really sad.

Faith is so strong and agile and just all-around badass, and I'm so... not. I literally don't even know how to run (due to lifelong disability). And when I sit down to play, I usually end up doing so for a few hours straight, which aggravates the pain issues related to my disability, which makes me even less mobile...

There's a line in the comic where Faith says she lives for the moment at the height of a jump where gravity ceases to exist. And I'd give just about anything to know what that feels like.

tl;dr: anon is jealous of a fictional traceuse who probably doesn't even obey the laws of physics because fictional, and is a whiny bitch about it.

I used to be the target of massive wank in my fandom. It felt horrible.

I haven't heard any opinions of myself or the things I've been saying or doing in many moons now.

I don't miss the insults and the hurtful mocking at all. But I can't seem to stop wondering what those people, who seemed so invested before, think of me now.

Did they just move on because they were just looking for lulz and are on to new prey? Have they changed their mind? Do they still hate me? Are they still creeperstalking my journals? Do they now think I'm awesome?

Fucked up as I feel for thinking it, I can't seem to stop wondering what they think of me now.

I really liked this season of Korra. And since we're getting like, four more seasons, so much that was wrong with this season (I liked it, I can also admit that there were some faults) has plenty of time to get fixed or explored to explain why those faults were necessary.

And you know what? Bolin is overrated. I kind of hope he turns out to be a jerk, just so his woobie-fying fans can shut up.

And Tahno is also overrated. He got like, five minutes of screen time. What? How does he have so many fangirls?

Can anyone rec me any RPGs for the Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance that have an interesting story and - this is a must - a turn-based battle system? I have terrible reflexes, so I only get frustrated with games that require me to push button combinations etc. to fight.

I'm such a ridiculous TV snob. I've always been super judgmental about crappy TV: bad sitcoms, fluffy dramas, etc. My boyfriend is the same way. We just finished Deadwood together, and it was heaven.

So I've had to be super on the defensive around him lately, because I just watched all three seasons of Vampire Diaries in a single week. I'm obsessed. It's not even what I normally watch--I hate vampire things as a rule. But, again, obsessed.

I had to give a presentation at work (I'm in a professional field--pencils skirts and necktie professional), and all I could think of was getting home and watching the next episode. I was taking long lunch breaks to run home and get an episode in. It was impacting my job!

Oh this sounds like me! Except I started just before season two, so didn't have as much to plow through. I may have watched all the seasons twice more though. Crap. It's a terribly addictive show.

I find it easier to marathon 'bad' TV than the good stuff. Finished five seasons of Supernatural in a week, still trying to finish Battlestar Galactica.

I've been dabbling in the idea to read A Song of Ice and Fire, but the books have been out from the library for a long time and I don't care enough to just go buy them.

Thinking about Supernatural too, but again I just don't have enough drive to sit down and try to watch.

Bioware Romances

Seriously, fuck everyone who thinks there should be LESS diversity and options in Bioware romances.

Want to keep homosexual romances out of SW:TOR? FUCK YOU. There are eight hundred heterosexual flirtation options in that game, so seeing the OPTION to flirt with someone of the same sex as well isn't going to hurt anyone, and in, fact will make thousands of players happy.

Thought that having all of the love-interests in DA2 be bisexual was unrealistic or romance-option overkill? FUCK YOU! Thanks to the availability of every romance option to both male and femake players, everyone got exactly the romance they wanted! Everyone got to play as the gender they wanted AND got to have the lover they wanted! Oh, but it's still unrealistic? FUCK YOU! Rejection in real life sucks enough, let my fantasy video game have free love for all!

Hated the fact that Tali and Garrus became romance options, or that Kaidan became available to male Shepard in the third game because it ruins your "continuity"? FUCK YOU! More options are there make the most amount of people HAPPY! Taking away those options can only make people sad because it denies them the ability to play the game they want to play, so FUCK YOU if you think your "continuity" is more important than the happiness people find in their virtual romances. Adding those options literally took NOTHING away from you and gave happiness to thousands of people, so just shut up already and deal with it!

My irrational hatred of anime is starting to impact some of my friendships. It's not even that I don't want to watch it--I don't want to talk about it, hear about it, acknowledge its existence.

And yet, many of my friends are huge anime fans. I have to literally leave the room when they watch it/discuss series. I feel like a complete asshole, but otherwise I get irrationally angry.

And, no, there is no series that I will like. My ex (who raped me pretty violently) tried to find the series that I would like, as if it were some kind of challenge. And yes, I realize that the above may be part of my issues (rape/misogyny is kinda linked in my head to anime now), but honestly I hated it even before him.

It makes coming to FS kinda annoying even. I don't want to be "that person," but I totally am.

So I have this friend who semilegit thinks he's a king (it's a long story). And he has a gf, who lives with him, having his baby, the real deal. So she's his queen and all that. And I have major crushy feelings for him. So every time I see anything to do with any sort of royalty in any kind of context I think about them and my stomach knots up. Female-centric works?

I was thinking recently about how tricky it can be to find fandoms that are centred on female characters. There are a lot of male-centric works I love, but finding something about women is always refreshing; the ratio seems so unbalanced. Here are the female-centric works I've particularly enjoyed:

- Revolutionary Girl Utena
- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
- Ashes to Ashes
- Once Upon a Time
- Debatably Final Fantasy X (Tidus is ostensibly the main character but the story is very much focused on Yuna), definitely Final Fantasy X-2
- Final Fantasy XIII, to a huge extent (Lightning is the main playable character; Fang, Vanille and Serah are the main driving forces in the plot), and to a lesser extent XIII-2

I'm probably forgetting things, but those are the ones I can think of at the moment. What are yours?
