Does anybody here know why a store that's understaffed and has open positions would refuse to keep on a temporary employee who has worked hard for six months, got a lot of positive customer comments, is well-liked by their coworkers, and is willing to fill any open position?

Because that's the conundrum I'm facing right now, and they didn't even tell me why they're not keeping me, so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, and it just makes me feel like I'm never going to be able to keep a long-term job if I'm not even being considered for a part-time cashiering position (that I'm already trained for and would be happy to take).

that CC had no part in what TMI ended up being on screen? I keep seeing people say it was all that awful man director's fault and how terrible that he thinks young women like this sort of thing, blahblah. CC was gushing about how she interfered in almost every part of the movie, from costumes, to dialogue, to sets, etc. I mean, I know now she's pretending that she had 'no say', despite what she said in an interview/twitter, but still. Yikes.

TEACHING ENGLISH ABROAD!

Need some advice that started with an anon yesterday (I am only have $100 to my name anon).

I am considering teaching abroad. I have a degree in Special Education and am certified to teach, but can’t find a job where I live.

So I was thinking of going abroad to teach English (possibly South Korea or Japan). I am not getting any younger (I am 24) and I think it would be a great opportunity (and I’d be the first person in my immediate family to actually cross the ocean!).

Has anyone had first hand experience (as a North American/USA) or knows someone with first hand experience teaching abroad? I set up an email address [wttoverseas@outlook.com], if people would rather email me privately. :3

both of my feet are swollen and i have no clue why. one is more swollen than the other and neither of them hurt but wtf? this happened last october - for the first time - to only one of my legs and it sent me to the emergency room (my mum thought it might've been a blood clot, but bloodwork turned up nothing). i'm not super worried that it's something which would require prompt attention but ... my body is trying to tell me something. it's gotta be happening for a reason but i've no guess as to why. guess i should go back to the doctor's office soon.

Did you ever have a fandom (any kind, game, movie, series, book, you name it) which really affected you deeply? Either in a positive or a negative way?

Personally, I am easily moved by a lot of things but it doesn't necessarily affect me for a long time. But then I played Persona 3 and I got the big ending spoiler. I already was in a mildly depressed state at that time, so the game probably wasn't the only factor in this, but it somehow hit me really hard. I haven't managed to play the end of that game after that and I don't plan to for fear of dropping into that ugly black hole again.

so I hear that people get upset when writers take their fic off the internet, but I don't intend on ever finishing mine and I've decided I don't want to be bothered about them anymore, and I don't necessarily want them connected to me anymore either. They've gone without updates for 6 months or more, but people are still messaging me about them (which I mean is nice, but I am through with them). Should I take them down? People get mad when that happens right?

Chilean fans are so damn happy the actor they got to be The Red Viper is from here. But I look at him with despair. Because Oberyn is supposed to be sexy as fuck and brown-skinned... and Pedro Pascal:

- Has a face of any random, average Chilean you could see in the streets of the capital.
- Can pass as white.
