I'm just the opposite, anon. I want to ship it, and the two of them make it very difficult for me not to ship it-- but many years of comic book fandom have made it completely impossible for me to ever consider a pairing like this even when, as you point out, it's not the same Bucky.

I just can't believe that Beatrice is completely dismissing Ben, the hot, smart and funny guy who is totally into her, and instead, she goes for the ~tortured love~ in a world she can hardly call her own.
I know it's fantasy, but IMO Ben is so much better than Alan that it boggles my mind.

I don't think courage had anything to do with that. It was an accident. It was a tragic accident. I'm not apologizing for his dad, but all Yuri wanted to do was protect his mother. Despite the violence, I think his dad was still his hero considering that he latched onto his teachings from when he was younger and now carries them through into his adult life.

You know, I wish the deaths were done all at once instead of one character at a time. After Sheena it became obvious what they were going for.

There are some wonderful people on the internet, and you can find them in the weirdest of places. I was talked out of suicide in part by someone I met on a Fruits Basket board; I only spent a few days there, but we became fast friends and she ended up saving my life years later.

My online friendships are as real as my offline ones, if not moreso.

It is totally normal to feel that way, OP. That's my problem with RPF too. The idea of how I'd feel if it were me. It's one thing to maybe write a little fluffy piece (heck, even a sexual fantasy with your celeb of choice) but writng graphic, horrid events happening to them? I do think that crosses a line.

You're okay to feel how you do. I am sorry you had to go through that.
