Both of mine are Tumblr related.

Cleaned out my likes so I have 0. But it is still showing 39. Apparently when someone deletes a post you like, the number stays there. It is driving me up a wall.

The second is that someone I follow has started making the same kind of GIFsets I make (the trivia ones) in the same movies with some of the same trivia. Petty I know.

Eta: Stores full of mirrored columns and walls. Gets me confused as hell.

That is, being so much more into girls than guys that calling myself bisexual doesn't make as much sense as it used to. I've got no reason for this to make me angry, particularly since I can't think of a single person in my life who'd disown me for it, but I'm still angry.

1. Other fan's opinions/beliefs on fandom things like ships, characters, etc. Not like the ships themselves but more like "THIS SHIP IS REAL, CAN'T YOU SEE THE WRITERS ARE DOING IT ON PURPOSE - THEY ARE IN LOVE." and just any over-analyzing to the point of delusion. I know it has nothing to do with me. They are just some random excited fans, I'm not going to spoil their fun. But it makes me (quietly) angry.

2. Pet names. (Babe, baby, sweetie, honey, darling, etc etc).

I hate the idea of "tagging your hate."

It's so stupid -- it just segregates positive posts from critical posts.

Like, I get the idea of having a positive tag JUST for positive things. Or a tag specific for hate. But I think a general tag should be viably used for EVERYTHING related to a topic.

Need Recipe Ideas!

I won an online giveaway for some food products. I know there are tons of recipes out there with the ingredients I have, but I want to know what was worked for you so I can try it out!

I have packets of goji berries, mulberries berries (that's how it labeled, twice the berry?), hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao powder, and coconut sugar.

I feel I'm a pretty good baker/cook. I don't do it a lot but usually have some basics on hand. I will make quick breads and muffins. For savory meals my standby is a chicken thigh with paprika, some veggies and a sweet potato or bulgur. Do love chills as we get into the fall/winter, I usually make vegetarian. The only real 'allergy' I have is to avocado but that might be more of an oral allergy not a life threatening one. I am not a pasta person.

Secretive about fandom

Is anyone secretive about fandom, or knows anyone who is?

When I was in high school, a friend of mine had "I love Hermopne/Draco" all over her binder. When I said "oh, you're in the Harry Potter fandom!", she got really weird. She admitted in class to writing fanfic, and she did a project on slash fanfic, so I think it was just admitting the specific fandom. I've had other instances like that too - I'll hear people talking about fandoms IRL, but if I jump in they get private. Is it fear of people finding them online?

So I thought it would be nice to have a thread about certain types of games that we are looking to play more of. Like someone says they want to play more games like Paper Mario and people give them their recommendations of things like that, or a kind of genre or thing about a game, like co-op, Diablo gameplay, shooters, etc. I'll put my own in one the comments, so I don't take up the sole focus of the thread.

Time zone woes, F!S in Europe

Ever since moving to the London from the US, Fandom Secrets updates at really awkward times for me (okay, midnight). So I always check it the next morning, and by then no one responds to my comments and it all seems dead. Except for weekends, yay.

Also I need to go out and make friends, but I'm trying to save money and so much of hanging out with people seems to involve going to pubs and having a lot of (expensive!!!) drinks.

Phrases you hate

A book I was checking earlier today made me realize how angry the phrase "mere friendship" makes me.

As someone who has been friendless due to frequent moving and a broken home for a period of several years when I was a teenager, and as someone who has also had the experience of later making amazing friends who changed my entire perception of human relationships: there is NOTHING "mere" about friendship.

How about you guys? Do you have any phrases that you really hate, whether for good reasons or just irrationally?

Man, after that finale...I don't know. They know all those monsters were actually people, but they still called them 'thing' or 'monster' or 'it'. I don't see why the Crystal Gems had to be made into sort of ignorant villains. I know it's to set up Steven as the one who changes everything, but it just takes away some of the sparkle the show used to have for me. Ah well.
