I'm completely deaf in my right ear and I use a hearing aid in my left. Hasn't stopped me from being a bit of a music snob.

Depression and anxiety. I recently stopped taking medication for because my new doctor said I should try to go without it, not sure how long that will last. OCD but it isn't too bad.

My whole family suffers from varying degrees of depression/anxiety/OCD.

Aspergers -- light end of ASD, now, I guess -- major depression, anxiety.

Depression and anxiety like everyone on these parts of the Internet. Being on drugs really, really helps, though.

I have hearing problems, though I'm not deaf. It makes ignoring people fun.

However, watching TV can be annoying, and sometimes I miss words in songs which can be awkward later on.

Me: I love that song! It's so carefree and innocent.

Me: ... I thought they were saying they wanted an orange.

Depression with a psychotic component, social anxiety, recurring obsessions and compulsions that may or may not qualify as OCD, degenerative joint disease, chronic fatigue and pain that has left doctors shrugging and going "fibro?", um, I think that's it? I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Depends on your definition, I don't define myself as disabled, not even when I am on crutches - except jokingly to friends.

But: Fibromyalgia, chronic migraines also does no depth perception count?

Also hopefully no mental disorders anymore, used to as a kid.

In all my life I have only watched a horror film once. I have a super low immunity to this genre, and I think even your average five-year-old isn't as easily scared by horror as I am.

I'm now watching BBC's 'Remember Me', because Michael Palin. You have no idea how absolutely terrified I am, f!s. D:

(feel free to share your experience with horror, maybe? I just needed someone to know about this so that I wouldn't feel so alone in this dark and scary flat).

I don't know how many other people on here are still keeping up with Glee out of some Stockholm Syndrome kind of thing, but is anyone kind kind of disappointed that they decided to make Shannon (now Sheldon) Beiste trans? I mean, I'm glad that we're getting more trans characters on tv, but one of the great things about Beiste was even though she didn't fit into traditional gender norms and she didn't "look feminine," she was still a strong woman who didn't take people's crap, especially when people thought a woman couldn't coach football. Except now the show is telling us that the reason Beiste decided to get into football and a bunch of other none "girly" activities is...because she's actually a he and felt inclined to do those things because he desperately wanted to be masculine. Like, they literally had the character say that. It just kind of feels like a slap in the face to female fans who found Beiste to be a very relatable female character. But, again, it's good to have more trans storylines on tv (even if it's Glee) so...I'm conflicted.

I don't know why, but I've always assumed most of the people who comment don't submit a lot of secrets, and that most of the people who DO submit don't really comment.

So here's my question - what would you say your comment/secret ratio is? I've submitted maybe twice in the past two years, but I comment frequently.

Fic Requests?

So, I recently posted a fic for the first time in aaaages. Yay! Then someone commented asking about whether I do fic requests.

And... I don't know how to respond.

Firstly, because I've never really published enough fic to ever get a fic request before. So I don't even know what it involves.

Secondly, I have a terrible problem with starting stuff and not finishing it, and this is the first thing I've actually written, edited, and published myself in a year.

So my question is: Should I say yes? Could it motivate me, or just lead me to chicken out again?

And how do fic requests even work? Is it like somebody giving you a prompt, and you try to write according to that prompt? For the fic I wrote, I didn't have a beta, I just edited it and got it over with. Should you have a beta if you're doing a request for someone?

One of my friends hatched this Christmas dragon she hatched.... In January. She's selling it, if anyone is interesting, for 11KT, since that's how much she'd get for leveling + exalting it.

IDK if anyone is interested or not, but if anyone is interested, you could probably level it up, and sell it around Christmas for a hefty sum as a Christmas battle dragon? IDK IDK, but I said I'd advertise it here, so if anyone's interested, here he is! :D
