Humans know damn well they can't take this by themselves... and so they bring back the Alpha Kaiju G-man himself because the 'Zilla threshold has been crossed, and you can bet a few decades on ice hasn't taken away his ability to atomic-fire-breath a mother's ass! GODZILLA: FINAL WARS!



We've seen the movies from the monster's perspective. We've seen the movies from the monster-slayer's perspective. One movie took the perspective of the screaming bystander from the first act going "oh god what is that thing? OH GOD WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!" That movie is CLOVERFIELD!

Finally, the Kaiju keep coming, and we built giant ass robots to kill them because of course we did! Being shown again cause why not, PACIFIC RIM!

A little about me - I'm Connor, I'm from Ireland, and I have a big, bushy beard. I think all people should be respected, no matter what they look like or what race they are. Eye doctor stuff!

I went to the eye doctor today for my annual and to see about trying contacts. My eyes have gotten worse and I have an astigmatism but he had some samples that would match by prescription. Sadly, I am TERRIBLE at putting them in and out. Hopefully I can learn how to because I really want to be able to wear sunglasses and such.

I am on Dailies right now and they are pretty noticeable feeling. And I am blinking like crazy. They are not as good as the ones I tried to use two years ago but my eyes got worse so I can't use them. Hopefully it gets better.

Also, the doctor mentioned ICL surgery because I am not a good candidate for LASIK. Does anyone know anyone who has had this? Or had it done yourself?

I feel like everyone and everything is on edge. There was a (false) bomb alert in my city today. One of my friends wasn't allowed to go back to his flat by the cops. There's been raids in the capital. There was a shooing in my bf's city that I don't know the details of yet. Don't know if that's in any way related or not.

There was the thing in Hannover where there was apparently a real terrorist plot.

It's not even like I feel unsafe, strangely, I just feel like I woke up in a different world today.

How important are follow up appointments? My podiatrist wanted to have a follow up with me. It was scheduled today, but because of my strep I cancelled it. I was going to reschedule it for next week, but my mother claims a follow up isn't necessary (and hinted she didn't want to pay for it). There isn't anything new the doctor could do. I already got the shots, he gave me the stretches to do. And according to my mother he just wants more money from me. I can't exactly afford the copay for another appointment myself.

As some of you may know, I lost about 70 pounds over the past year and a half. I have been stuck at 190 for like 6 months. I started to do C25K (got to week 4) but it has gotten too cold for me to force myself to go out in the morning.

So, I am looking for any recommendations on indoor workout plans, cardio and strength. Preferably ones that do not require a lot of equipment (I can spend around $100).

I was just reminded that the story "All Summer in a Day" exists, and I've been sobbing and reading every fix-fic I can find for the last hour. It's nice that there actually is some fic out there, but it's not enough. It doesn't change the way the story went. Of everything I've ever read, this is one of the rare few that I wish I could forget completely. If you don't know it, please, for your own sake, don't look it up. If you ever see it linked anywhere, don't click. I can't get over it. I can't forget.

I've always taken walks or gone to the grocery store at night, even after midnight, but these days I feel uneasy everytime I see some guy, or worse yet, a bunch of guys. I keep wondering if they see me as some sort of loose woman who is asking for it by being out so late.
