I have absolutely no interest in seeing the remake. I love the original, and the commentary track with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Paul Verhoeven is a great bonus.

Hah. When I was a kid, a boy in my class had just played this game, and he started assigning roles to who reminded him most of the character. He was the main character, and I was Rose. I was a pretty introverted person, so I was really happy to be included and named a character (especially a major one!). I had never played the game (and I still haven't), but I have a soft spot for this game because of it.

You know, I really do mean to play this game at some point...if it were remade, I'm sure I would.

Magnetism is all about personality, OP, not always looks. I don't know anything about this guy, but so long as he can throw off a magnetic air (which probably won't be too difficult, considering everyone else is grim and quiet), he should work.
