It's too hot out T_T It's nice and cool inside, but I'm out of food, and I'm sick of vending machine fare. So basically I have to either go grocery shopping in the skin-melting heat, or go late at night despite my paranoia. /firstworldproblems

وَظَهَرَتْ آيَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ: امْرَأَةٌ مُتَسَرْبِلَةٌ بِالشَّمْسِ، وَالْقَمَرُ تَحْتَ رِجْلَيْهَا، وَعَلَى رَأْسِهَا إِكْلِيلٌ مِنِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ كَوْكَباً، وَهِيَ حُبْلَى تَصْرُخُ مُتَمَخِّضَةً وَمُتَوَجِّعَةً لِتَلِدَ. وَظَهَرَتْ آيَةٌ أُخْرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ: هُوَذَا تِنِّينٌ عَظِيمٌ أَحْمَرُ لَهُ سَبْعَةُ رُؤُوسٍ وَعَشَرَةُ قُرُونٍ، وَعَلَى رُؤُوسِهِ سَبْعَةُ تِيجَانٍ. وَذَنَبُهُ يَجُرُّ ثُلْثَ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ فَطَرَحَهَا إِلَى الأَرْضِ. وَالتِّنِّينُ وَقَفَ أَمَامَ الْمَرْأَةِ الْعَتِيدَةِ أَنْ تَلِدَ حَتَّى يَبْتَلِعَ وَلَدَهَا مَتَى وَلَدَتْ. فَوَلَدَتِ ابْناً ذَكَراً عَتِيداً أَنْ يَرْعَى جَمِيعَ الأُمَمِ بِعَصاً مِنْ حَدِيدٍ. وَاخْتُطِفَ وَلَدُهَا إِلَى اللهِ وَإِلَى عَرْشِهِ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ هَرَبَتْ إِلَى الْبَرِّيَّةِ حَيْثُ لَهَا مَوْضِعٌ مُعَدٌّ مِنَ اللهِ لِكَيْ يَعُولُوهَا هُنَاكَ أَلْفاً وَمِئَتَيْنِ وَسِتِّينَ يَوْماً. وَحَدَثَتْ حَرْبٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ: مِيخَائِيلُ وَمَلاَئِكَتُهُ حَارَبُوا التِّنِّينَ. وَحَارَبَ التِّنِّينُ وَمَلاَئِكَتُهُ وَلَمْ يَقْوُوا، فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ مَكَانُهُمْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ. فَطُرِحَ التِّنِّينُ الْعَظِيمُ، الْحَيَّةُ الْقَدِيمَةُ الْمَدْعُوُّ إِبْلِيسَ وَالشَّيْطَانَ، الَّذِي يُضِلُّ الْعَالَمَ كُلَّهُ - طُرِحَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ، وَطُرِحَتْ مَعَهُ مَلاَئِكَتُهُ. وَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتاً عَظِيماً قَائِلاً فِي السَّمَاءِ: «الآنَ صَارَ خَلاَصُ إِلَهِنَا وَقُدْرَتُهُ وَمُلْكُهُ وَسُلْطَانُ مَسِيحِهِ، لأَنَّهُ قَدْ طُرِحَ الْمُشْتَكِي عَلَى إِخْوَتِنَا الَّذِي كَانَ يَشْتَكِي عَلَيْهِمْ أَمَامَ إِلَهِنَا نَهَاراً وَلَيْلاً. وَهُمْ غَلَبُوهُ بِدَمِ الْحَمَلِ وَبِكَلِمَةِ شَهَادَتِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يُحِبُّوا حَيَاتَهُمْ حَتَّى الْمَوْتِ. مِنْ أَجْلِ هَذَا افْرَحِي أَيَّتُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالسَّاكِنُونَ فِيهَا. وَيْلٌ لِسَاكِنِي الأَرْضِ وَالْبَحْرِ، لأَنَّ إِبْلِيسَ نَزَلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَبِهِ غَضَبٌ عَظِيمٌ، عَالِماً أَنَّ لَهُ زَمَاناً قَلِيلاً». وَلَمَّا رَأَى التِّنِّينُ أَنَّهُ طُرِحَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ، اضْطَهَدَ الْمَرْأَةَ الَّتِي وَلَدَتْ الاِبْنَ الذَّكَرَ، فَأُعْطِيَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ جَنَاحَيِ النَّسْرِ الْعَظِيمِ لِكَيْ تَطِيرَ إِلَى الْبَرِّيَّةِ إِلَى مَوْضِعِهَا، حَيْثُ تُعَالُ زَمَاناً وَزَمَانَيْنِ وَنِصْفَ زَمَانٍ مِنْ وَجْهِ الْحَيَّةِ. فَأَلْقَتِ الْحَيَّةُ مِنْ فَمِهَا وَرَاءَ الْمَرْأَةِ مَاءً كَنَهْرٍ لِتَجْعَلَهَا تُحْمَلُ بِالنَّهْرِ. فَأَعَانَتِ الأَرْضُ الْمَرْأَةَ وَفَتَحَتِ الأَرْضُ فَمَهَا وَابْتَلَعَتِ النَّهْرَ الَّذِي أَلْقَاهُ التِّنِّينُ مِنْ فَمِهِ. فَغَضِبَ التِّنِّينُ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ، وَذَهَبَ لِيَصْنَعَ حَرْباً مَعَ بَاقِي نَسْلِهَا الَّذِينَ يَحْفَظُونَ وَصَايَا اللهِ، وَعِنْدَهُمْ شَهَادَةُ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

Not narutoanon, but I have to ask, did anyone else read the chapter that came out today? Because I almost died laughing. Of all the jutsu and power ups that could be used in the final battle against the big bad, Naruto uses a male harem version of Sexy Jutsu. With Sasuke's straight-faced assistance.

what's the last movie you've seen? would you recommend it?

last movie i watched is peter jackson's king kong. it was my first king kong movie so i can't compare it with the others.

it wasn't deep or intellectual, but it was pretty entertaining. nice cast, nice cgi, a few 'wow that's pretty awesome' moments. tbh i'm happy i saw it just for the king kong/t-rex fight. that was badass.

would recommend it if you like action movies with nice effects and big-ass monsters.

Music in the Grocery Store

It occurred to me this morning that The Fresh Market pipes in classical music in their stores. And I like listening to classical music so on my way to work now, I wonder if I should make up a grocery store list. I don't think the Super Target has music and that's nice when it's 8 or 9 a.m. and you just want something quick or browse, you don't want the extra distraction. Sometimes I don't pay any attention to the music or other times it's wow it's 80's night at Kroger!

Is there a store you avoid due to the music they play or one you like because of their music selection?

What are some fic types, plots, or themes you hate?

I can't stand song fics. It always seems like the songs are picked randomly and never really go with the story. Thank God they have fallen out of favor.

I also can't stand fics that have two characters pining for each other while every other person knows they are. I don't mind pining but I hate when an outside character is all, "Really you don't know???" or *knowing smirk* but they don't bother to tell the pining person what is going on.

What about you?

I liked it, but aside from having familiar faces and werewolves...it didn't really feel like Teen Wolf. I guess jaunts to rescue jaunts to Mexico will do that.

Stupid shit on the internet that makes you upset

Okay, so I live in Connecticut, and there's this old rollercoaster at Six Flags New England that's closing, and a local news station did a story on it and put it in "Connecticut News." Six Flags is just over the border in Massachusetts.

Well, this crazy dude who's got his head up New York City's ass is bitching about it and how the news station has a duty (a DUTY, I tell you!) to represent him as a resident of New Haven. And he's all "New England isn't a real region" and "you fail Connecticut by trying to connect us to Boston! You should be talking about NYC and Long Island" and "Great Adventure is our local Six Flags, not Six Flags New England!"

And I'm like, wtf? New England is definitely fucking real; Great Adventure is TWICE THE DISTANCE from New Haven that Six Flags New England is, so how the fuck is that one more "local"; and how are you gonna say that Boston has nothing to do with Connecticut but then say that New York City has everything to do with Connecticut?

But I'm also like "why am I so pissed off about this? It's a loon on the internet. It doesn't matter. Just let it go, self."

SO TELL ME YOUR THING. Tell me about a time when you knew something didn't matter and that it made no sense for you to be upset, but you were upset, anyway.

I'm trans. And yet, I feel like genderfluidity and really looking at gender as anything other than a "convenient" way to stereotype sexes are some of the most harmful concepts both to the trans community AND the cis community there are.

Because if you're trans, the general public has no problem lumping you in with the ridiculous little brats who all "today I woke up and felt like a boy! Maybe tomorrow I'll feel like a girl!" And if you're cis, it only reinforces the notion that that X is for girls and Y is for boys, and if you don't fall in line, there's something weird about you.

And fuck all that noise.
