When you watch a lot of a certain genre of show, or read a lot of a certain genre, there's a lot of themes or scenes that keep cropping up. What plotlines/etc do you like no matter how many times you see it?

For example, I will watch the shit out of any show that has a time-loop episode. Some are a little repetitive (TNG's was) but most of them are fantastic (SG1, Eureka). Same for alternate-reality episodes.

I used to get pollen allergies every spring. Usually I just got the sniffles, but one year I got hives, which sucked (I had to take antihistamines, which made me fall asleep in class).

The allergies went away when I was around twenty, which was nice. But I was told that people often lose their pollen allergies in their twenties, and then they come back later (I do think I made the best of my allergy-free years, doing all the outside stuff I could every spring).

Well, it seems this year is the year they came back. I got the sniffliness first, though not as badly as it had been. Then I started getting hives, but only in one place, which happens to be my backside.

Awesome. Hives on my butt.

I tried it. My husband tried it. At least a dozen members of a pro-GMO group on Facebook tried it. We all got the same result.

Chipotle's Facebook page is filtering out any comments/posts that include the word "science" in them the day after they officially rolled out their "non-GMO" menu.

I was so pissed when I found out I was actually screaming and scaring my husband/cats. I'm not sure I'm going to sleep tonight because I'm so pissed off and have too much adrenaline in my system. This is maddening because I like Chipotle's food. However, their anti-science stance is at best frustrating. I may not be in a scientific career, but I support science literacy and feel these kinds of campaigns encourage willful ignorance.

Dealing with last days

So slightly personal, but how do you guys go about dealing with the last time you'll ever do/see x sort of things?

My mom is selling my childhood home, so today is the last day I'll ever be inside it. It's kind of weird. I'm just sort of wasting time inside it, taking panorama pics from the lanai, staring out the windows...

Like it feels the same as any other day. IDK. I'll know I'll miss it later, but I just can't right now.

Dissapoinment

I've just found my favourite artist from years ago that I admired very much. She was just 2 years older than me, and to me was the epitome of talent, an inspiration for me. When I find her again on deviantart now all I can see are conceptarts for games with the same cutesy styled girls with big boobs and impossible poses. She's still very good, her techniques and coloring are great. But every other piece is the same thing you can find in every corner of the internet. There's just no originality in them anymore.

I know that I have no right to judge her, maybe it's the easiest way to get a job and get paid, maybe she just likes that style better now. But I can't help to be dissapointed. She was the reason I try to get into my university. This is the most dissapointed and upset I've ever been.

How about you, F!S? Anything happen recently that have you dissapointed even though you know that you are an ass for being so?
