Yes, totally! I was joking about this in my journal a while ago. Cowley should be Rachel's great-uncle, who was the only one of her relatives who liked Danny. He comes out for a visit and he and Steve hit it off, because they have such similar views. And Danny is 'no, no, no, Uncle George, do not encourage the madness!' Then something deep and plotty happens, like George gets kidnapped, and Bodie and Doyle fly over to help rescue him. It would be so fabulous.

I've heard that criticism before, and it's odd cause to me it seems to be the other way around. The empirical evidence was on the side of Pinkie's powers being real. Twilight was rejecting the evidence because it didn't fit her existing preconceptions about how magic works. In the end, she admitted she was wrong. So how is that pro-blind faith?
