Aspiring writers, any tips/discussion/rants/general comments? I'm one of the 90% of people here who hopes to get a book published one day, and I try to write as much as possible to get something down. It never comes out right, though, and I spend too much time staring at my screen.

On that note, does anyone have anything actually published? :) I don't have anything more than some articles in a local arts/entertainment newspaper, but it's a start.

What are they?

Me, I'm always irrationally happy when the secrets that I'm following the comments for follow a pattern, and dissatisfied if something breaks that up. Like, I love that the numbers for three of the four secrets I'm following are factors of three.

And then I hate The Little Mermaid today for throwing off the perfect three-ness.

You know those shared phrases that become part of you and/or your family's personal vocabulary? A lot of them, at least in my family, end up being quotes from things we've watched or read together: so my question is, what are some quotes that you find yourself using ALL the time?

For my family: in the SG1 episode '2010' they're going on a tour of the defunct Stargate facility, and the tour guide has a really distinctive and perky way of saying "Aaaand we're walking!" when it's time to move on. We use that all the time.

F!S ever since New Year's I feel I was hit by a brick.

I'm not really sick, I'm just tired and headachy unmotivated and can't bring myself to do even the most basic of things.

December was awesome, I had a lot of freelance work, had some nice time with family...

And now I just feel like I'm being sucked into a black hole.

I should be jobhunting again. There's volunteer work I'm terrible behind on. My living space is a mess. There's documents I need to sort out, clothes I need to fix etc. Every day I have several things I want to do, and I'm lucky if I manage one. And this includes stuff I like, like catching up on series. And if I do it, I do it with reluctance. Worst thing is, tomorrow's my anniversary with my bf, we're having dinner in our favorite place and I just can't bring myself to be excited about it. I just feel like I have an energy-sucking parasite.

Not really looking for an answer, just wanted to vent.

I'm feeling upset and lonely. And I'm having a lot of anxiety problems over an upcoming doctor's appointment and stupid health things. :(

How do you help yourself to feel better when you're having a bad day?

Usually I try to drown myself in my fandoms to feel better, but I'm feeling a bit too sad to do that tonight.

Even though I know the correct pronunciation I always read "tsundere" as "sun deer". And it makes me picture a tiny sun in the shape of a deer.

Born in the last awesome stream, I'm gonna do a duet with forgottenjester.

I think everybody else who wants in should have a shot if they care.

So get your friend. Your F!S friend, your internet friend, your real life friend, your family, who cares! And then post a vocaroo of you and them doing a song! Music is a fandom, so don't worry about limiting it! Duet or just sing together, one of you singing with a recording of the other, who cares! The point is two or more voices of real people!
