I just bought some Tim Tams for the first time today, because I realized I had never tried them and they are some quintessential English thing supposedly. So I decided to try to culture myself a little, junk food wise.

They weren't bad, but they weren't great either. Way too sweet for my liking. I wound up wishing I had just made a batch of dried cranberry shortbread with my other purchase and called it a day.

Do you ever know why you dislike a certain companion? Or a certain character?

I always can't put my finger on why I disliked Amy a lot. Is it because she was kinda bitchy to Rory? (Rose was bitchy to Mickey but I still favor her over Amy), is it because I didn't like Karen's acting? (Freema wasn't exceptionally good, sorry, but she's still above Amy on my list) so why do I really don't like her, I still can't figure out why after all this time.

Fair food and...not fair food. Basically food.

Went to the State Fair today. Literally spent 7 hours there. And of course, I had fair food: A chicken egg roll for breakfast because it was nearest me, cheese curds that may have changed my life for a snack, a barbecue parfait (mashed potatoes, pulled pork and barbecue sauce done up like a parfait) that was eh for lunch and bierock that wasn't as good as I remembered it for an evening snack. And a scoop of blueberry ice cream.

Now I'm home. My feet hurt. I'm starting to feel a little hungry again, and I don't want to cook (or shop to cook) at all. Trying to decide if ordering pizza would be an absolutely ridiculous thing to do after a day of fair food.

But really, cheese curds and blueberry ice cream notwithstanding, I wasn't overly fond of my fair takes this year. At best the rest of today was just OK, and yesterday I had a funnel cake where the cake was good but the strawberry goo on top was not. And I gave the legendary "Pronto Pup" a try, and it was the shittiest not-even-a-corndog to ever exist and it stayed with me for about three hours.
