I have three current favorite characters. With the first (Mairon), I'd like to have a purely sexual relationship. Not romantic because that would be horrible. Just lots and lots of sex.

With the other two (Celebrimbor and Boromir) I'd like to have a sibling-like friendship. I feel very protective of them. I'd like to be the older sibling. I'd like to share things with them. I'd also like to hide them away and protect them from the awful things that happen to them.

What advice would you give yourself 5 years ago?

Does gender make a difference for you in RP?

I've been following this person who RPs my favorite character. They play him in a very sexual, NSWF way, which fits with my headcanons. They encourage explicit messages and RPs and always reply in ways that fit how I view the character. So while I don't RP, I've taken to sending a lot of porny messages in order to get responses.

The problem is that I've just found out that the player is a man. And, while maybe this is bad, this is making me uncomfortable. While the character is male, I generally always imagine RPers as female. And I kind of feel like the motivations for a man in doing this kind of RP and how they respond to such messages might be different and potentially creepy.

Am I wrong to be concerned or think there is a difference?

I'm writing a story where 2 characters are apartment hunting (in NJ/NY area). Most of the places they are looking at are very low-end. One character is a hacker-type, college aged. The other is a retired guy, not tech-savvy but handy around the house.

What sort of things would they see or look for while apartment hunting (especially inside the apartments themselves)? What do you guys look at when checking out a new apartment?
Anything the hacker in particular would want for his computer operation?
Anyone have any tips for things to include or consider for the NJ/NY area? Anything unique to the area? Or areas where seedy apartments would be? How about housing close to colleges?
Any general horror stories for apartment hunting?

Really anything you know about apartment hunting would be great. I've never looked for an apartment before.

Enrolling for healthcare thru Obamacare is upon us. You can now do your applications for 2016.

I have a question for people on here.

I am a fairly healthy 27 year old. I went to the doctors twice last year. One of those was a gyno check-up. I have two plans picked out.

Plan A) Deductible is $6000. Preventative care is free. Generic meds are free. The plan will cost $50.

Plan B) Deductible is $3000. Preventive care is free and generic meds are free. I get 3 free doctor visits a year to a whoever my primary care physician would be (I don't have one right now). It costs $150.

Which would you suggest I get?

I'm not sure if I'm putting this down correctly, I apologise if this sounds wrong, but I have a question based on No. 8.

Is there a value difference between Lesbian sexual appetites and hetro-male sexual appetites? I mean we talk about male sexuality being objetifying, and the Male-gaze is a big problem in media, but obviously OP of No. 8. is comfortable enjoying things made for the male appetite, even the really gross dehumanising stuff.

So, and I know the answer is "It wasn't made for lesbians, if lesbians enjoy it fine, but it was made for men to dehumanise women and therefore it's gross" etc but... I don't know... I suppose I'm curious if / what is the value differences between things men enjoy sexually, and things lesbians enjoy sexually.

I'm not sure I'm putting this down right, can you see what I'm trying to ask?

Let me preface this by saving that I think having gender neutral language for people who want/need it would be great and helpful. My question/issue is this: I understand that not all women have vaginas and not all men have penises, but can we please come up with something better than "penis-haver" and "vagina-owner"? If we're trying to distance ourselves from being define by genitalia, this seems like the wrong way to go. It also seems incredibly awkward to use in everyday situations.

Ex. "What did the person look like?"
"They were are a vagina-owner with brown hair."

Are there alternatives? I've yet to see any. At least, I haven't seen alternatives on tumblr anywhere yet.

I'm terrified of staying alone but I'm also terrified of trying online dating and finding out that really no one is or possibly could be interested in me and what I really want is someone to tell me that I'm normal and dateable but I don't know where to turn for that kind of assurance so basically I'm just terrified
