Some movies you know are bad right out the gate. For some reason they are made anyway.

Ever hear of Movie 43? It's got one of the most star power casts ever assembled... and oddly, everybody involved in the movie seemed to try to get out of it for some reason... some succeeded. Some failed. Enough failed that the movie got made. The product at the end makes you wonder why you bothered!

Then, a man with a magical not really explained list that tells him all the women he can sucessfully sleep with.

Too bad he's about to be married and not nearly done... oh well, who needs love right? Lots of sex! SEX AND DEATH 101! Ryder looking cute can't save this!

Holy fuckballs, yall. I go away for a few days and when I come back someone set the figurative building on fire with group bannings of the super popular for absolute rubbish reasons, a mod resigning and apparently a brief question about whether the board would stay alive at all.

Up to this point, I always thought the anon(s?) complaining here were just shitty with sour grapes and axes to grind, but wow. Sorry for thinking that. I wasn't even in this brouhaha and I'm instantly on your side. Apparently there's been enough groveling and self flagellation that most of the banned have been reinstated, but things got nasty -- typically not by the banned, unless posts were deleted and the remaining mod says none were -- and I doubt that place will ever be the same.

How was your day, f!s? Mine was fantastic because it's been about 65F and the sun is shining! Came home today for an appointment, got to spend time with my dogs (including my parents' new dog, who I just met), and took a nice long walk with them. :D

So, today I had a dentist appointment and like many people I was terrified! They were cleaning and scaling my teeth. I thought it would be super painful and take like 3 hours.

I was pleasantly surprised that I felt very little pain (almost none) and it took less than hour. And it cost $30 less than I thought it would.

So I want to know what are some experiences you dreaded OR was excited about, but it turned out being much easier or not as awesome as you thought it would be?

what character death do you think was unnecessary? which one do you think really added depth to the work?
what work of fiction kills its characters off too easily? which one should stop bringing them back?

Ugh, like every fic I read in the last week just didn't do it for me at all. Not that they were bad, they just didn't draw me in or hit any of the right emotions.

I got some new neighbours today, and the only reason I know this is because they decided to start moving in at 12:30 AM. I think they are done for the night now, as it's quiet now, so they didn't do it for too long (It's currently close to 01:45 where I live), but still, who moves up into the 4th floor after midnight on a weekday? It really shouldn't annoy me too much, as I was awake anyways, but I still think it's rude, especially considering that it's meant to be quiet after 10 PM (which it says in the lease, so even new people should know) and they didn't put up a notice of any sort (though I get that this may be a bit difficult if they weren't around earlier today). And I mean, I get it, work and perhaps school and other things in life take time, and perhaps you only have free time in the evenings, but really, after midnight? Blah, I'm just annoyed.

So, now that I've gotten that out, do any of you have any stories about bad (or good!) neighbours you feel like sharing?
