I've seen people assume songwriters are always writing about themselves specifically. But this confuses me, because isn't that kind of like saying every writer's book is about themselves, even if it isn't? I'm pretty sure Agatha Christie didn't know anyone named Miss Marple.

(If they've made it clear in interviews, that's another thing - and maybe Adele has, I dunno, I'm talking more generally.)

Boob thread V2.0

Was planning on making this thread tonight anyway, but then someone else made a boob thread and now I kind feel like I've gone to a fancy party in the same outfit as someone else. Awkward. But what do we do? We acknowledge it and move on.

Ok, so tomb raider. I do not love the new series, The last game was so very much not a tomb raider game for very many reason. A fine game, don't get me wrong, but that was not Lara Croft. The physical stuff not withstanding she just wasn't Lara.

This new game is better with the writing, better with her characterisation, better with the action, and slightly better with it being a little bit less torture porn-y. Not wonderful, not tomb raider, but better.

So now the physical stuff. Still no plait, Only one handgun Hair loose and flopping all over the place (Seriously big hair in no kind of practical style) and of course, bush beating aside, the thing that's really niggling me: He boobs have gotten smaller than the last game.

Yes it's stupid and shallow, but this is really bothering me. I don't know why. Part of it is that I liked her bigger boobs, sure, but small boobs are not a deal breaker for me. I like lots of smaller chested characters. but in this specific case I am not at all happy with this. Maybe part of it is the semi-implied idea that bigger boobs are bad / objectifying and the need to be removed for people to take her seriously. Maybe it's the semi-implied idea that if you prefer the bigger boobs you're a creepy misogynistic fan-boy looking for fap fodder. Maybe it's the possibility that the people who think that aren't wrong about me (although I do still like the parts of the game that are more Lara-y. And I do like the game as a non-tomb raider game).

I don't know. Long and the short of it, the increasingly smaller boobs on Lara are upsetting me more than they should and more than I want to admit, and I don't think I'm bad for feeling like this, but I know I probably sound bad. It's just irritating me.

I have two blogs for the fandom in question. One is an RP blog. The other is a blog where I've been posting an intentionally bad fanfic for shits and giggles. I wanted more people to see the fic, but without claiming it as my own (I wanted to maintain the illusion of a preteen fangirl with shitty grammar as much as possible), so shamelessly plugging it around fandom chats was out of the question.

So I linked to it on my RP blog (which I also generally don't let people know is mine, because I'm insecure about my serious writing), and had my not-above-petty-homicide RP character react appropriately to it. Someone took that comment as OOC and the mods on the official account made a post about how harassing fanfic writers is unacceptable yadda yadda. I made a cheerful post as my fake Suethor persona saying roughly "lol no need for drama guys, it was obviously the character saying it!" and posted the same clarification on my RP blog.

There are still only a few people who know that the RPer and the fangirl who can't spell are the same person, and that either or both of them is me. I'm vastly amused, and people definitely know the fanfic exists now, so I'd call that a success.

I've opened a case in resolution centre for a non received item and in every message they keep asking me to close the case. Which I'm not going to do because there goes my buyer protection.

I've agreed to wait 10 more days. But I'm not going to close the case cause that's not a resolution? Idk the nagging is kind of annoying. I'm going to wait and if not back in 10 days ask for a refund and when I get that THEN I'll close my case. But not before then :/
