Gross secret habits

What are some gross secret habits that you would never ever ever let anyone find out about, but that you continue to do?

I don't wipe when I pee, even though I'm a girl. It grosses me out, but I just never got in the habit of wiping properly. I did it back to front when I was first potty-trained (I'm 21 now), and was told that was the wrong way, so I just stopped, and now wiping feels really weird to me. I only do it when I'm on my period or have a lot of discharge or something like that.

Anyway. I would NEVER EVER admit to this (except on anon, obviously). So what are your shameful, disgusting secrets, F!S?

I recently watched the Secret of the Wings movie and I noticed something strange. In the first movie there is a minister of winter, a female winter fairy with white hair and a crown that stands with all the other ministers-on the warm side I might add. Also, when Tink is finding out what her talent is, one of the talents in a snowflake. If winter fairies are only born in the winter woods then why was there a snowflake there? And where did that winter minister go? She is not in SotW, instead there is a lord Malory instead.

I suppose it might make more sense in the books...

Is the "expand" button not appearing for anyone else?

At the top of the comments thread there's the "Flat" and "Top-level comments only" but no "Expand". It also happened with yesterday's post, but I thought it was a problem with just that one post. Now I'm going back through all the posts from the past few weeks and they all have the same problem. I can't expand individual threads either; when I try to click the "Expand" button nothing happens. Is this a glitch? Did I do something wrong?

So yesterday I'm on Youtube and I see a video on the sidebar that has millions of views. I look at the person in the video and... it's this girl I went to high school with!

I click on her channel to find out she has a ton of subscribers, even more than most of my favorite Youtube stars, and on tumblr people make all these GIFs of her face and she's, well, relatively internet-famous.

It's soooo trippy. I wanna spam "OMG I KNOW YOU IN PERSON REMEMBER THAT TIME YOU ASKED ME IF I HAD A PAD YOU COULD USE!?" on all her videos. but that would be so lame.

Anyone else had any experiences like this?

Hypothetically speaking, since baring your breasts in protest is protected by the first amendment, could I appear on a national broadcast and flash America while shouting "THIS IS A PROTEST. THESE ARE MY PROTEST BOOBS. THIS IS RIGHT-WING AND THIS IS LEFT-WING. SPEND YOUR POLITICAL OUTRAGE LOAD UPON THEM IN UNISION AMERICA!" or whatever is en vogue to shout while flashing your fat balloons for the right to go topless. And then sue the broadcasting company/FCC for a titload of money if someone censored my goodies to comply with regulations?

And if I go to a political rally and shout "Get your politics off my nipples! This is not a protest! I am just flashing you!" And flash everyone am I still covered even though I stated an intent not to take advantage of my first amendment right?

Favorite types of non-romantic relationships?

Sometimes I think fandom focuses puts way too much merit on making relationships romantic, which is a shame because there's so many other types of relationships that give me just as warm melty shivery feelings as romance does. I love romance, but there's so many other configurations!

So, what are some types of non-romantic relationships you really love? For me, I love friendships between young men or teenage boys and very little girls. And friendships between old men. And friendships between preteen girls. And relationships between mothers and sons. And grandmothers and granddaughters. And friendships between old women and middle-aged men. That's all I can think of for now...but if you guys could come up with more specific and descriptive and situation-based ones than the very general ones I mentioned...

SKYFALL TALK

Okay, because there was a Skyfall secret. I enjoyed the movie, but when my friends and I were discussing it, one scene stood out to us in a WTF! How did they think this was a good idea scene.

The scene when Bond surprises Severine in the shower naked. He had just figured out she was a sex worker and he thought he would SURPRISE he naked in the shower for sexy times? I really wanted her to just punch him in the face for that, but instead she was like "OK. Cools."

Are we the only people who were totally weirded out by this scene?

I find your journal colors very hard to read. White on black is bad enough, but a pale peachy color on black is beyond me.

Priviledge can be confusing

Following on from yesterday's introduction to forfuturereferenceonly, I have a question that has bugged me for a while.

If someone says "X priviledge warning" e.g. zir's title "Abled-body privilege warning is in effect" does that mean that zie is able-bodied and so might say something priviledged without intending to? Is it warning that able-bodied or non-able-bodied people may find something offensive/triggering in there? What sort of things do people warn for? For example, I'm a white, 20-something cis-gendered bisexual (but only heterosexually active) female Christian, able bodied, mentally disabled, well-educated, from the UK, allergic to strawberries...

In a related question, at what point can I legitimately say that my attempts not to offend anyone have caused words to lose all meaning? For some reason flagrant disregard for the conventions of grammar and the evolution of language annoy me far more than blatant prejudice. The latter might upset me more in the long-term, but for instant reaction it's party time for apostrophe's :-)

Also, I apologise for my repeated spelling mistake. In my defence that was the spelling given to me in school, which I was required to rote learn. When I'm concentrating on something other than the particular letters I type I tend to forget myself. Then I kick myself. Then I realise I posted anon because I still don't have a DW account so can't change it.

Perhaps I'll turn over a new leaf and sign up. :-)
