Same here, OP. S1 was THE SEASON for me, and it was because it was so fun to watch. S2 lacked a lot of the fun, and it did felt very different from the original.

OP, I think that's a really good observation. I hadn't thought about it this way before, but now that I do, I tend to get really passionate about a ship when there's an upsetting way to read it that I don't think is true. So it makes me really defensive. I think that with a lot of people.

It's not necessarily connected with anxiety in my case but I can see how that might magnify the situation.

The good news is that you can read the ship however you want in your own head canon!

Meh. Looks pretty young. I liked that Bowie physically looked older than Sarah--it was another deterrent for people who think that OMG they belong together FOREVER, rather than picking up on the fact he was a freaking psychopath who had likely been tricking girls to populate his goblin horde and playing games with them.
