Is it worse for someone to do something bad out of bitterness, or just because they're a sadistic asshole?

I see a lot of people insulting other people by calling them bitter or unhappy, and implying that that is the reason behind their actions. But personally, I would hate someone more if they did something bad just because they enjoy being a jerk or like to see people suffering.

I have to finish putting together the treadmill I finally bought. Spent three hours today doing it and got like 80% done! Other than that, I may have finally talked my sister into watching Game of Thrones (I have to watch Interstellar for her :<).

Books, Movies, Games, Comics around a certain genre. I don't know what you'd call it, maybe neo-noir? Something in the style of Hitman, Max Payne, Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Something like that. I started replaying the old Max Payne games and those graphics, they just don't hold up.

I got an email today stating "Notice of P2P Infringement Allegation" saying that "A copyright owner has sent Comcast a notice claiming your Internet service from Comcast was used to copy or share copyrighted content like a movie, television program or song improperly."

This is the only email of it's kind that I've ever received. It was followed by by an email saying that it was "acknowledge" by the company.

Question is: How screwed am I?

This scenario seems fairly common:

A/B are a hugely popular pairing that the majority of the fandom seems to love and wants to become canon and sometimes even the actors seem to ship it. Either they never get together at all, or if they do, they break up, and then...

A will get together with C, who's B's rival and/or everyone (other characters, and the majority of the fans) seems to hate, and they're endgame.

Of course the writers can do whatever they want but sometimes it seems like they do stuff to intentionally piss the fans off. I don't get it.
